    He could have laid the brush onto the rim of the glass. It's really a shame that he shows the wrong way of brush handling. "Errors" like this make me angry because it's sloppy editing and he should know better. Thank you for showing the book and pointing out the wrong way of brush handling. Those things can be expensive and you may not be able to salvage a bent brush.

      It always shocks me when I see that in a book but it may have been a photographer and not the artist.

      @@FizzyStarArt That's possible, I didn't think of it; I always thought "the author has the last word" but that doesn't seem to be true. It's a pity that so often looks go over content, be it books, or recipes, or even people 🤣

      I am pretty sure they showed it just because it is a nice image of what people would associate with artist-y looking stuff ;'D I don't find the book for completely begginers, so probably that is why they couldn't bother with explanation~

      @@kgxart It is an Artist's guide to colour so suitable for anyone new to colour mixing.

      @@FizzyStarArt I find this level of information a bit too difficult for beginners, I'd rather think it's for intermediate artist who would like to improve their mixing and shading 🥲
