Thank you for showing this book. I bought the Kindle version in May because I thought that I'll be able to enlarge the pictures to better see the details. Maybe I missed something but that doesn't work. Luckily I got it extremely cheap so it's not that big of a problem 🤨 I had the physical book on my Christmas wishlist but I think I won't buy it because if the paper quality is "cheap" and I'd have to force the book to lay flat then the electronic version is more useful. I'm grateful that you mention things like that in your review(s) 🥰

That's the book I need! I have some Posca and Molotow markers but I never know what to do with them. I painted some rocks and that was it. I will pre-order the book for January because it is not available in Australia yet. Thanks so much!

It was great start to slow paced thinking🎉

Japanese vowels are pretty easy: a=ah, e=ā, i=ē, o=ō, o=oo (like “true”) I lived there 5 years as a child. The FunNihongo channel here on RUclips is a great resource. Don’t be afraid to try to pronounce the words. It shows you care. 😊

Definitely gonna get this. I got a sumi-e set as a birthday gift a while ago and haven't used it yet because like you said, I never really gelled with the style but this book looks really nice and makes me want to finally get into it.

Looks not vibrant enough

Wish I‘d seen Charles on tv! I discovered him & his methods on utube & found his tips great for watercolour pencil sketches! Now I‘ve moved on to his watercolour tips. His booklet looks really useful! Thanks for the review.

I have this book. It is an excellent book on Pen & Wash. John's website is called Drawn in Yorkshire and has lots of examples of his work. Thank you for this video, yet again, it's really informative.

He could have laid the brush onto the rim of the glass. It's really a shame that he shows the wrong way of brush handling. "Errors" like this make me angry because it's sloppy editing and he should know better. Thank you for showing the book and pointing out the wrong way of brush handling. Those things can be expensive and you may not be able to salvage a bent brush.

WOW... This is just what I was looking for. I have the Zentangle Source book on Kindle and have most of her books. I found them all one night for $.99 each on Kindle. I felt, I could see what they had and decide later IF I wanted them in paper, as I am just starting. - Thank You for doing a review of the other two books as well. This book is amazing, today I decided to buy it! It shame, that in my country a lot of publications for realistic drawing are not exist or so not good enough for me. I decided to learn languages and now I can read this book.

Thanks much for the very helpful FT! I've wondered about this book for a while. As an instructor, this would be a great teaching aid! Her instructions are clear & thorough & her test page illustrations are easy & clear but not boring~ I LOVE her go-to colors!

Nice book. Thank you for the thorough review. Unfortunately I don't think I will be purchasing this one as it is too similar to ones already own. I always hope new, younger artist's instruction books will be more inclusive. Coloring various hair textures and complex styles, deeper/darker skin tones, as well as show the correct texture of all skin, based on age, condition, variations in it's hue, etc., is always a struggle. Only professional portrait artists seem to able to master these tasks so I'm always looking for information to assist with obtaining these skills.

Thank you for your review! I also favor a pen that slows things down a touch so I can be present and form my letters deliberately. For what it's worth, I will be installing these refills in the OHTO CR02 (for my girlfriend) and CR01 (for me) for which it is a perfect fit, in case you are interested in encasing it in something different.
