A Traditional Konkani Dish called
"Kadam" or "Tausali". Both of them can be servied hot with ghee or with Jaggery Syrup. Traditionally it is served with Jaggery Syrup called as 'patal god'.
The only difference between "Kadam" and "Tausali" is, Kadam is wrapped and cooked in "Turmeric Leaves" in small
packets and Tavsali or Tausali cooked in a vessel like a cake and you can cover it tumeric leaves too. Kadam are like small cucumber sweet Idlis which can be served without cutting into pieces. Tausali is like a
cake which needs to be cut with a knife and served. This dish is prepared during monsoon and Ganesh Chaturthi festival as during this time turmeric leaves are grown and available in abundance.
