Seeing how well you did on the Letort you should try the falling springs fly only section in chambersburg, all I can say is good luck it’s super difficult but it has big wild rainbows and browns
I attempted the section right in Chambersburg earlier this year and although I saw a few, didn't catch any. I'll definitely be back. Usually when fishing Letort or Big Springs, I'll only catch fish 1 out of 5 times and although frustrating I always can't wait to go back. I'll keep trying Falling Springs.
I like that section, however I do remember sinking knee deep in quicksand and struggling to work my way out. That would have been a great day to have a fishing partner😂. Although I did hook up with a couple of fish.
Thanks man! Everyone says get an 9ft. 5wt. for first fly rod, but if your fishing smaller streams, I'd go for an 8ft 6. 4wt. Small enough for Pocono's or Lehigh Valley small/medium sized streams but big enough if you need to hit the Lehigh or Brodhead. Maybe try the Orvis Clearwater 8'6" 4wt Fly Rod.
Just moved to Mechanicsburg and I’m really into fishing. What sections of the breeches do you like and what should I use for a spinning reel setup? Also any parts of the Susquehanna? Thanks would love feedback
Honestly, the Breeches are stocked so heavily that anywhere is pretty good. I like the sections up near Kings Gap State Park (small water, but mostly Wild Browns). As far as spinning reel, I'd just go 5ft. ultralight with 6lb. test line and throw some panther martin single hook spinners, black and gold are always good colors. Don't fish the Susquehanna much aside from a kayak once or twice a year. Great smallies.
I'm actually planning to do my first one this summer. I'm a little squeamish but my buddy is a great chef and cleans them well so hopefully will have something soon.
@@joedas2370 Currently working on Wellsboro PA, Frederick MD, Boiling Springs PA, and Culpepper VA - glad its finally spring (and can actually fish outside winter). Hopefully more to come soon, thanks man!
It's not a mistake. You're presenting/repping an area to the public. Do your research. Be sure of your facts. No slipshod reporting. Names are important.
The mispronunciation was definitely not intentional. I try to do the best research and narration I can do. If your only take away from my 30min. video where I try to promote, highlight, and appreciate the history, culture, trout fishing, and other aspects of architecturally significant towns which I love as an American, is that I accidentally mispronounced a few words, then I genuinely will try to do better.
If I pronounced something incorrectly, its obviously not on purpose. I'm just trying to do the best I can. Your comment was a little disrespectful and inappropriate. I genuinely appreciate all feedback and if you see my earlier videos up until now, I've grown as a fisherman and man up until this point. I'll continue to try to get better every day.
The town is also where Jim Thorpe attended school and where the Corvette festival is held every year, as well as being a major trucking hub.
Great video man! You find some real gems. Cheers to another Trout town!
How much of that stream is public access? Great video dude, keep up the great work 👍🏽.
Sick vid brother
Heck yeah brother!
Another great video !
Thanks!

Agreed, wading is tough. And the fish spook easily, but it's a nice challenge.
Don’t forget about Ed Shenk Another individual that made the Letort famous
Love the videos. What would be a good size fly rod for a beginner. Fishing most small creeks in eastern pa

Yo my home waters I was just expiring the yellow breeches and there was a huge 38 inch old stocked bow that snapped me off
now that is a HUGE brown trout!
