David is an incredibly deep searching, fully heart giving, marvelous musician. The first 15 min when I first saw him in Zürich, I felt both: shocked and magnetized. The intensity of his search for God is touching soul. At least: mine
Couldn't have said it better seven years later as I'm just discovering this band. Pray that his faith gets stronger and strong. He will reach many people because of it.
@@tchili1 It's not his faith; it's his talent. He puts everything into it when he sings and plays. Listen to the Outlaw Song. It's hypnotic. Based on a Hungarian folk ballad.
the more i dig into this and 16horsepower the more i like. didnt know how christian this guy was originally. turns out, quite a lot... gotta say, ive never really dug "christian" contemporary music. found this stuff while networking through totally secular, dark country, "gothic" americana type music. kept bumping into Edwards stuff and find its approach refreshing. Usually feel "christian music" to be redundant and mediocre even though im not opposed to the message. Here, i dont feel it spoon fed to me or like im beat over the head with it. More, i actually like some of it. Really like it. more power to this guy
saw you back in Atlanta #smithsoldebar back in the mid 90s as 16 hpwr. love you. love your intensity and your soul is amazing!! love you Eugene. could you mail me a bandana like that? #16hpwr #blacksoulchoir muaaah xoxo
Love his humility. He is extremely talented, kind and compassionate about his music. Praying for him every day.
i love this man

Saw them in Louisville, Ky a few years ago. Very small venue...right in front...it was an amazing experience.

meleecritical he definitely comes from the more esoteric ideology of it. Real powerful and honest.
Esoterica is really the only true Christian way--it's the way of Jesus himself. The rest is bull.
Wonderful interview !!
Damn it, where could one get a bandana like that?
