Thank you for the video. It's another fun "Forbidden" game. We have "Forbidden Island", which was fun, but we won't get another "Forbidden" game, even though people say that "Forbidden Desert" is much better than "Forbidden Island". Anyway, thank you again.
Island: board shrinks over time Desert: board moves over time Sky: board grows over time And if you think about it, pandemic legacy seasons 1 and 2 follow two of those formulas... kind of leaves you wondering if season 3 will follow the third remaining trope.
And that's the main reason why I don't watch Dice Tower any more. The types of games that really resonate with me seem to get the thumbs down by DT and thumbs up by Rahdo.
I don't think it was intentional from their part. As Zee is known to be one of the biggest Pandemic fan, I think he really wanted to like this game. To be fair, this game looks and feels cheap and the gameplay itself doesn't seem too interesting also.
Point well taken. I'm not rushing out to buy this either. I use FI a lot with kids and FD for a real puzzler. It's an interesting addition to the series but, after seeing the run through it was easier to make up my mind. Still, I prefer Rahdo's format and choice of game more than DT, that's all.
here's what i wrote to someone else on another forum asking my opinion of their feelings vs ours: _i can't say what went wrong for them, but from how the described their experience, i got the impression that they were connecting their power lines too quickly, making the world too dangerous to stay alive. you need to be really careful how you deploy your lightning rods to keep them isolated from the rest of the board, so that you can avoid shocks. if you do this, and only start connecting them with your own lines later, you should be relatively safe for quite awhile (until you decide to make the world dangerous)._ _when they say that moves are "really obvious" and that you can't win without the medic, well, that's simply incorrect. i'm reminded of the old dice tower video where tom said that tiny epic defenders is effectively random and you can't plan or strategize. tom was wrong then, and he's wrong here too, imo :)_
hey you gotta try something new, forbidden jungle tried something new and alot of people love it. things work and fail, that's the game industry. I do think this may be the worst one but idk, i need to play desert again

interesting observation! i like it! :)
Big contrast to the Dice Tower who detested the game.

Douglas Gloag rahdo thumbs everything up
this looks like a lot of fun though! i like all the thinking you have to do. This would make a cool video game also
Oh no! It’s not in a tin?
Tin wouldn't work well with the magnetic components.
Not a fan of the gimmick. It just looks and sounds cheap to me, but to each their own
I still can't get over how ugly it looks.
5:00 real life lol you gotta tweak stuff before it works
I think this game is the worst in the series. Needlessly fiddly and gimmicky. 👎🏽
