Just got Spitfire notice in mail today - always nice - today's LABs freebie was Phillip Glass' actual piano - the one he used to record his first few hit records and soundtracks. Also aside from LABS Spitifre offers a darn good BBC orchestra recorded at Abbey Road for free as well. 🎹
I had a guitar sound in my mind that I was gonna try to create by flicking the pick up switch back and forth. I reckon that bread slicer will do just what I’m imagining 👍
You had me at free ! 🤣 Spitfires BBC Symphony Orchestra plugin is free for the basic version too. I use it all the time. You just need to wait 14 days (for some reason?)
Magic Dice seems to be just a promotional tool to get you to buy the full product seeing there doesn't appear to be a way to force it to play the same preset every time you load.
Also wondered about this. Thought the same effect loads in my saved projects, as it should. I will put it to the test. That said, I indeed am interested in the Baby Audio stuff now :) Btw the best freebie Intried this year was "Rift Feedback Lite".
Hi Patrick - Not to get off topic but is there a plugin that makes it possible to connect a midi based mixer to Garage Band? I just got a hold of the KNTRL9 mixer from Berlin, Germany. I know it works with Ableton but I would love to use it with GB. Seems like GB is designed to focus on a single track at a time which I'm thinking it wasn't originally designed to mix tracks with an actual hardware (mixer). Or is this something that Logic Pro is geared to do? Thank you - Milo
The Nembrini Black Distortion is, everything else is Mac only. I have an free iOS app video here if you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/AW9-01pvVQE/видео.html
Hi, thanks for the video. I just updated to GarageBand 10.4.6 for Mac. Now my EQ plugins keep turning themselves off. Is there a way to stop that from happening?
Patrick, Just downloaded Odin, and couldn't find it in Audio Units, where it should be. A quick link at the manual and it stated: "MacOS: The install wizard gives you the option to install either the VST3 or AudioUnit plugins. Installing the AudioUnit version is only recommended for users of Apples Digital Audio Workstation ”Logic”. So what am I doing wrong? Great series of videos by the way.
@@TheGaragebandGuide Thanks for the rapid response. However, even downloading and installing the AU, it does not appear in GB, nor can I find it anywhere on my iMac. Any thoughts? Still a great tutorial site, thank you so much for the effort you put into it.👍
@@bobcheshire7007 You’ll need to restart GarageBand after installing Odin 2. Make sure you’re looking in the instrument plugin menu and not the effect plugin menu also.
@@TheGaragebandGuide, done all that but still no joy. Interestingly, I downloaded Organism and it appears in the AU plugin menu. Oh well, lots of other effects to play with. Thanks for the help though👌🖖
@@bobcheshire7007 Odin 2 wouldn’t appear in that menu as it’s an instrument. You need to create a software instrument track and load Odin 2 up as an instrument plugin

Better than paying for it though, right? I’ve actually bought a couple of Spitfire’s other packs and they’re fantastic too.
Awesome! Some great plugins here that I didn’t know about.
All really great fun to use too! Enjoy!

@5:51 if anyone wants a FREE LABS template for Logic, let me know. It has EVERY LABS instrument (I think 300+ tracks). 🙂

spitfire @6:30 looks awesome.
Pretty incredible
Are any of these available as auv3, for use in Loopy Pro?
Nembrini black distortion is also available on iOS. The rest are Mac/Windows only.
Magic Dice is now out on iOS as an auV3 too!
Thanks Patrick
Cheers!

I spat my coffee when you read it as ValVulvar.... :D

Well, yeah. It’s essentially just the preset randomiser from the full plugin.

Is the future of music about being random?
What makes you say that?
Cool 💯💯😎✌️🇮🇹
There are only 2 letter Vs in Valvola. You were pronouncing 3. 😄

Sorry but not useful at all for dialog. All music crap.
You came here looking for plugins for dialog?
@The GarageBand Guide You're a "GarageBand guide" and don't know there are plug-ins for vocals??"
