Funfact: the reason why Deadpool's word bubbles were like that was because his voice is supposed to be raspy. The in world characters of the comics also mention it.
How to understand how Ryan Reynolds got it so wrong now there's a whole bunch of movie fans did never read the comic running around saying that the movie Deadpool is accurate when he is not. And then they started changing the comic character to match the movie character.
@@infamoswordzSOO TRUE HES NOTHING LIKE HIM
Comic book accurate isn't always the way to go, I always interpreted the yellow box as Deadpools voice always being mildly sarcastic and annoying. But if it was supposed to sound raspy then i think Ryan took it in a better direction. I'd rather have a deadpool with Ryan Reynolds voice than a comic book accurate RFK Jr. Voice
@@willyisthere Well RFK Jr. meh. I’d say John Kassir is the definitive Deadpool voice. Also saying that post mutation Deadpool shouldn’t have a raspy voice is like me saying The Hulk in his transformation should have his normal Bruce Banner voice. I don’t think you realize how important voices are to characters, not only does the raspy voice really mesh well with Deadpool’s character and how his look goes, but with no raspy voice, it just literally takes away the legitimization of his tragic disfigurement. Not to mention his voice plays an emotional part in a story with his daughter. He was spending time with her, mentioning to her that had scar tissue on his vocal cords as the reason as to why he has that voice after she asked why he sounds so weird. Some years later, there was an amusement park and he was disguised as this amusement park mascot to assassinate someone and despite erasing his memory to keep his family safe, his daughter was on a field trip at the same amusement park. She saw the mascot she hugged him because she’s a fan of the mascot, not knowing it was her father. She then heard a voice raspy voice that reminded her of her dad, which made her really upset missing him as the flashbacks of the fond memories all came back to her from that raspy voice. The raspy voice is as important as Deadpool himself. Take it away, not only is it antithetical to his disfigurement and the whole point of the character, but it also takes away a good depth of the character, flattening him.
I totally forgot that Stryke was a drug kingpin.
Dang nabbit I miss the way females were illustrated in certain poses within wide release comics.
The way Domino back is arched as she clings to that rock 😁😀
sad and so messed up hows they've massacred deadpool and shatterstar in the movies to comics past years since daniel way, i hate way deadpool
No wonder 💭 this crap 💩 killed the booming comics industry. 🤮
@@Spthomas47 True, umpteen variant covers and outrageous prices also contributed.
Man, the 90's made no sense.
Even in the 90s this was too 90s
Even in 2020 Rob liefeld still can’t draw.
In summary:
Everybody gets shot in the back, but it's okay, they got better (well, almost everyone.)
I noticed that while recording this! So many people get shot, stabbed, or otherwise attacked in the back in these issues! I'd make it a drinking game but I don't want to give anybody alcohol poisoning.
Not gonna lie, the 90s era Rob Liefeld art is a guilty pleasure of mine.
yeah. when he had other artists cleaning up his art it looked better.
I’m surprised that you don’t have a lot more subscribers you make really good content I’ll try to recommend your channel to other people if I can
I have every copy u talk about love 90s New Mutants, and Xforce
I do too from 1983 to 1990 went the New Mutants change to X-Force with Cable. I do want to know what happened with X-Force now I mean who's on & who's left now or what's left with them now?
Even though I like Anime art style more, the 80s and 90s comic art
style is cool.
Man for Domino to be held captive for so long her costume came out sexy am I right or what I mean the only parts that really got damaged were the sleeves, midsection, upper thigh, The collar and any other part that mad her look hot right 🤷🏾♂️ lmao for Liefeld to not be able to draw hands or feet he sure knew how to draw women in suggestive situations and poses lol
This kicks the version displayed by a channel with a million or so subs in the ass.
It took way to long for DOM to come into her own. It really didn't help Ness kept imatating her. they both are interesting people.
Man I would hate to be an insurance adjuster in this universe. Lots of blown up buildings!
There is nothing more '90s than Shatterstar.
Ha! Yes there is. May I present Adam-X, aka X-treme?
i still want his swords
Tell you what, this put me off comics for a long time, i hated Cable and all his clones (they all look alike) and that art style sucks.
Rob Liefeld art work was terrible. No artistic vision. Sorry to say
Was that Sunspot speaking Spanish?
Isn't he supposed to speak Portuguese?
If cable comes from the future how do people know him from the past?
So many teams were formed lmao
Longer videos
Man, some of the artwork makes me want to vomit.
i;ve been a fan of deadpool since x force #2, xmen trading cards series I and II, and of course, circle chase and joe kellys run
I know this video is an old one but it'd be nice if you actually did a video focus on Deadpool's appearances up until he got his own comic book minus all the excess extra storyline. Because these new marvel movie fans think that the Deadpool movie character is accurate. Educate them please excelsior!
I dont like any of this lol but thank you for the info. I’m going to give it a thumbs up
Couldn't Feral smell that it wasn't the real Domino???
She can replicate down to a cellular level. Including powers upon contact. So her sent would have been the same as the real Domino.
either way ferral never met domino. she met copycat first. it was never domino who joined X-force.
Never was a fan or Liefeld's work, loved Jim Lees art much better he is a true artist.
Deadpool's drawings is so inconsistent no wonder rob leifield can't draw feet lol
Tired of not being paid enough at marvel, never being the alpha male and all the cliches of the u.s comic industry, Shatterstar took time away from the world to get in touch with himself. After a long hiatus he made a comeback in guilty gear xrd as the straight man Leo Whitefang.
I read that like it was written by a bot that was trying to understand human language.
What the fuck are you even saying, dude?
@@doclouis4236 welcome, we've been expecting you.
@@blyrax :D
Gotta love that Liefeld art style. Hehe.
Man, the 90’s really had some bad artwork....
I see... pouches. There are pouches everywhere!
pouches are good very useful
Sheesh.... the violence
I personally hate deadpool
Ugh, that art.
Yes tell us plz
Are the costumes of Spider-Man and Deadpool look similar?
Yes. In the 90s everyone just took classic characters and gave them 3 of 5 things.
A) a katana
B) a glowing eye
C) an Uzi
D) a ton of pouches
E) A bionic limb.
Deadpool is Spiderman with those 3 things. Even his personality is “what if Spiderman keeps his personality but kills people instead ?”
We need a history of deadpool
what about the first appearance of the 4th wall breaking deadpool?
i was hoping the deadpool movies would be more action packed, hope x force movie is with cable as the leader and original group, and deadpool being a villain
Please continue this story 🙏🙏🙏
You a fan of the thunderbolts?
Thats great
My childhood.
deadpool
How did Rob Liefeld ever get a job? This hurts my eyes...
Let me know
This video has 0 dislikes... it's unanimous... the world loves Deadpool.
Lol this comment did not age well.
Well, you jinxed it. Nice job.
Is there the origin of Deadpool?
@@Spthomas47 where is it?
Watch his 1st movie..
