- Here's another one of the dozen B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) invert Batman coaster clones and one of five that is not named Batman The Ride. Do you know the names of the other four are and where they're located?
Check out the off-ride video we posted to see more of what this thrilling coaster looks like: • Great White off-ride H...

Starting to wonder if there's a giant warehouse out there full of pre-fabricated Batman roller coaster pieces.
Donovan Leonard R/wooosh
Christian Benvenuto no we’re on mixer
The warehouse is in Area 51, there are a total of 100 Batman clone pre-fabs in there
That part

Idk what Batman ride you're referring to, but that great white coast has been there over 20years.
This was literally the calmest ride ever.
It really was. The Steel Eel was way more intense
@@jasonduffey81 definitely agree lol
@@jasonduffey81 I guess the main attraction was the loop and upside down. Probably what made it scary. This was my third coaster ever and my friend chickened out lol
Went on the ride twice this past Saturday it's so scary but it gives you a sense of relief at the same time. When you're upside down in the front row you can see the sky and it makes you feel free in a way. It's amazing I would ride it again.
Krystal S does your stomach drop?
After that I wanted to join the air force only to experience that feeling in a fcking jet. But I'm not a citizen so forget about it, jaja. Still beautiful memory I rode that shark a long time ago.
@@maddiefr5437 no. This ride is a replica of the Batman coaster at six flags. It is fast and it is fun! Not scary at all.
@@maddiefr5437 nope!
@@maddiefr5437the stomach drop feeling is actually fear
Sharkman: The Ride
Sharkman: the swim
I like how they called it Shark when it goes upside down. If sharks get flipped upside down, they go into tonic immobility. When they do they can't move, and they can die. I just find it a little ironic.
So?
Mysterious Wonder it just a rollercoaster...the speed is what is the shark..that’s how fast a shark goes
Mysterious Wonder same I’m like how does a shark go upside down buh ig that’s just how ride goes
@Ernest T Should've named it "Flying Fish", "Penguin", "Seagull" or some other flying or gliding sea creature.
almost every rollercoaster like this has a loop lol
"I'm Batman."
"No, I'M Batman."
"I'm Batman!"
"I'M THE REAL BATMAN!"
Adventures By Jake Great America = real Batman 😉
Will the real Batman please stand up?
*everyone stands up*
"No I'm Dirty Dan!"
Batshark
This is by far my favorite ride in sea world! Me and my friends did it 5 times in a row because there was absolutely no line
Glad to hear that!
That’s very true, me and my dad got on with a three minute wait a year ago, so much fun, hope to ride it again soon!
Anyone else find it weird that there are 2 Batman clones in San Antonio but neither of them are named Batman: The Ride?
What's even more weird is that this was technically the first clone of 3 built in the state. I always thought that Great White was at Batman the Ride at Six Flags over Texas, but no this one came first. Only in Texas can three different theme parks, in the same state, have the same ride. Two of which are 20 minutes away from each other.
Andre Dudley and 3 different names
Bennett Veith Same, it’s also weird to that at SFNE, why are there two vekoma boomerangs right next to each other.
Yea kinda dumb to be honest. This ride is like everywhere.
it’s so weird. the batman ride in six flags over Georgia is similar
I hit my head multiple times on the retrain,
10/10 would ride again
At the beginning I’m like “I regret this and there’s no way to escape” but at the end I usually end up enjoying the ride.
This brings back wonderful memories. Rode this 10-12x in a row because no line… with my father 25 years ago. He was a thrill seeker, adrenaline junkie. He was just over 50 and I was 13. A few years later we caught fire & ice in Universal right before the park was closing and got to ride it 4 or 5x straight. We had hit The Hulk earlier in the morning and when he got off he said, “damn son… I might’ve just had a mini heart attack” while holding his chest 😳😂
I cherish these memories; fuxk I miss you.
Thanks for never turning down an opportunity to ride the lighting. RIP Pops, I love you.
He sounds like he was a great man. Hope you're doing well
@@duoduos9221 he was fantastic. He was a brilliant man. Born in Indiana. His parents moved the family down to Miami when him & his older brother was starting HS. He played linebacker for the public school football team. He was offered a full ride to PRINCETON to play football, since Princeton, obviously were interested in him for his academic achievements in HS. He declined it to go to College Station, gig em Aggies, Texas A&M. He loved being on the water so went to the maritime academy. He had a career as a supply boat captain traveling the world. He retired to a small home in Barataria, Louisiana and fished every day in the bayous and lakes of southern Louisiana.
I honestly wish I could say I was doing better personally.
So, this and Goliath are in the same city. Probably should have thought that out better.
Thatsmallcessna not to mention Batman The Ride at six flags over Texas. There are 3 of these same coasters in the same state. Lmao
I loved both of those rides
Give me money, the ride
It doesnt really matter since great white is inverted and shorter which gives them different ride experiences
They didn’t plan it that way it just kinda happened. They inherited Goliath from the aftermath of hurricane katrina so it at least helped out SFFT. Plus they have different layouts
Omg me and my dad went on this ride and it is WAYYYY more scarier in person...I screamed "I THINK I DIED" when we were riding it😂
I just went on this ride today, I closed my eyes the whole ride and I was screaming so loud that I lost my voice :/ That was fun
"I'm Batman!"
"No I'm Batman!"
"No that's me!"
".... I'm shark man....
or am I?"
OceanicMikey nvj
This was my favorite ride of All.😎
This was my first roller coaster ever, about 10+ years ago now....
I'm looking forward to riding this coaster in December! It'll be my first visit at SeaWorld Texas!
ThemeParkJunky51290 did you like the ride
I'm going there right now C: Any recamendations if I ride this? ( I have VIP pass so I don't have to wait in line :3)
Batman at Great America is one. Opened in the early 90s I believe, still one of my favorites.
Cravz69 yup! 1992
Yup! 1992
That was the first one
Basically just the batman at six flags in stl. Just.....renamed 😂😂😂
ThatsTheTea Sis there is a Batman clone at almost every six flags park not just stl
ThatsTheTea Sis yeah but wayyyyyy better
Because it is there is something called cloning ride layouts because it’s way cheaper than hiring professional designers to design new custom rides. When you clone you manufacture already has the the design. And there are many Batman clones around the world
It feels weird not having the sharks next to the coaster like before, especially now that they're technically in SeaWorld anymore but rather Discovery Point.
4 years ago, I decided this was going to be my first rollercoaster ever. Honestly it was soo much fun. After this I rode steel eel. So far I've only rode 2 roller coasters.......
You should hit up more. Look for parks whenever you go on rode trips because they are awesome
@@dominantwolf4593yea I should try more roller coasters
😂😂yah steel eel will slow you down!
Diavlo (Himeji Central Park), Lightning (Kuwait Entertainment City), Goliath (Six Flags Fiesta Texas), and Le Vampire (La Ronde) are the other Batman clones to not be named Batman the Ride
CrazyWharf625 When Coaster designers are lazy *coughs* Boomerang
A lot of people don’t go on this ride tbh. It’s not scary like whatsoever but it’s really fun. The first time I went on it I was 13 and I wasn’t even a little bit scared lmao
But it's blue
lampshades120 There's a shark above the seat
This was my first ever roller coaster! I remember it like it was yesterday!
Love the ride I get on it all the time
Omg I’ve been on this ride sooooo many times it’s so fun 🤩
Rode this 6 times today - FUN!
Omg I went on this today it's fun af
No matter how many batmans there are, Montu will always be better
The Thunderant Of course. Montu is unique. There are almost 20 of these Batman clones (including this, Goliath, Le Vampire, and all those other clones with different names).
Montu is not a new ride and it's still up there in my favorites, it's so good
No matter how good Montu is, Nemesis will always be better
Montu, Nemesis, Katun and Banshee for me. They are the best inverts.
Although I've heard Pyrenees in Japan is good too.
@@LordMalice6d9 Montu is the best
I love the inversions on this coaster, I found front row to be very smooth
I went on this one recently. On March 10th, 2018. I've left my mark
TfBrother141 What do you mean by that?
This one has a BEAUTIFUL COLOR SCHEME 😀
I am 72.... I would be dead by the time that was over.... however...this was fun!
I got bruises with my face mashing into the seat restrain
First loop : *eyes roll into the back of my head and I pass out
To me this is just like the goliath but turns a diffrent direction and its blue
There are many "Batman Clones". Goliath is one of the few mirrored clones.
This is my personal fav
This one is almost identical to the Batman ride in Six Flags Over Texas. From what I read, it's the best selling roller coaster in the world.
Gnosis7 Not only almost identical. SF Great America opened the first B&M Invert with this layout, now there are over 10 clones in operation around the globe
I had no idea that there were so many Batman clones outside of the Six Flags chain. I'm glad that Carowinds didn't get one, although we did get a shorter version of Montu in a sense.
To be honest when you go upside down it dosent feel nothing :") already went to this ride like 20 times
It's because the inversions are so quick. On the double barrel roll on outlaw run, you are going slow and you certainly feel being upside down.
I found them to give excellent positive Gs, especially on the wing overs, which are basically corkscrews.
This is my favorite Batman clone.
That ride is so fun
I’m not gonna lie I was scared to get on upside down roller coasters but after I road this it was toooo fun I wanted to go again
I love this ride so much
I'm so scared of this roller coaster that even on screen it looks terrifying 😩
I was terrified of any rollercoasters and I pushed myself to go on this one. I love rollercoasters now and this ride was amazing. I went 3 times
@@zircon9698 wow 😲, I'm pumped to ride this one!
This one is so fun
Should’ve gotten a B&M. Oh wait.
Luke352ANYTHING I see w0t you did there..
Me and my sister might go on that one bc next week I’m going to sea world San Antonio and I’m scared
So much nastalgia....went on that thing at least 1000 times growing up there. Nice to see it's still around years later
Sweet Memberberries, it looks so much calmer here then it was. There was no line, so they asked me, if I wanted to go again. I was so dazed that I guess I kinda nodded and only when the ride was all the way up before the drop again, did my brain go "Holy shit, again!?! Nooooo!" 😂
Where is the water? Great white land shark
Rode 10 years ago. Dude at the kiosk said I was fine to wear my glasses - bull! My 21 year old self was terrified and kept his eyes closed but I damn well near lost my glasses!
This ride effed my back up where i could barely walk out of the park. Idk if i will ride again or not. Steel Eel is an all time ride though
No Name so your saying steel eel which is known to be rough is better than a H&M’s invert
I best remember this ride because a former coworker who was involved in a summer youth camp then, he told me that when they got on this ride, a man with a prosthetic leg rode on it. That when the ride made it's first turn, his prosthetic leg just went flying off.
Now that's Awesome!
It’s super fun I recommend it
Nice! Reminds me of Montu at Busch Gardens Florida.
Feels very similar to Nemisis in the Uk.
This reminds me of the
Patriot
Azaria Hindsman Yeah. They’re both inverted coasters by B&M.
i rode this ride while it was raining so a bunch of dirty water got on my legs when we were going up, and i was pissed. long story short i had a straight face the rest of the ride and wasn't very amused. AND it was my first time ever on that ride.
I haven’t been in sea world for years and it was a little scary on that ride you can also get headaches.
One of the other ones is also in San Antonio. Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
That looked so fun, like Batman at sixflags magic mountain
This reminds me of the flight deck and clearly the Batam
I was 11 when I first went to that ride
Okay this ride is super fun and me and my family went two times but on the second I got whiplash
Haiden Humphrey ughh I’m scared. I’m going on it for my first time on Saturday, any tips? :( I’m really scared
Goliath (Six Flags Fiesta Texas)
La Vampire (La Ronde)
Lightning (Some Park in Kuwait)
Diavlo (Some Park in Japan)
Am I somewhat correct? @coasterforce
I was right???
i think one of them is great bear (hershey)
Sluglord That's not a Batman Clone...so no.
Matthew Gorres Thank you for the last two.
Jakeryano ...not a Batman clone
Omg I almost shiet my pants on this ride
I was too scared to get on this one Lmao I thought Texas stingray was pretty scary For me 🤣 my kids also did steel eel with me 😩💀
I rode on this ride it was fun!!!
Very nice landscaping
I thought I was about to read "Great White Shark"
How come there’s two of these in the same city?
There are also two Premier Rides Skyrocket IIs in San Diego.
@@Stephenp503 There are? Where's the one that isn't at SWSD?
Hurricane Katrina decided to ruin Six Flags New Orleans' party, so Six Flags, being known for controversial decisions, moved SFNO's Batman the Ride clone to SFFT, which got a repaint and rename to Goliath.
@@bandmfanboy nevermind, I thought SFDK was in San Diego...
@@Stephenp503 Yeah, no, it's in Vallejo.
Holy shit I was not expecting that
how would you rate this from 1-10?
me:8.5
I keep on seeing people comment how there’s so many Batman rides similar to this . Which is true , because there’s a The Batman at Six Flags over Texas exactly like this
They're all clones of Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America, which is also the original B&M inverted coaster.
I’ve been on this (was my first coaster), Batman at SFOT and Batman at SFSL. Great White is far better. It runs smoother and the theming/ color scheme I enjoy more.
The other four Batman: The Ride clones that are not named Batman: The Ride are, Diavlo at Himeji Central Park in Japan, Vampire at La Ronde in Canada, Lightning at Kuwait Entertainment City in Kuwait, and Goliath at Six Flags Over Texas in Texas
pinkfloydfan13 not over texas, fiesta texas
This was actually pretty smooth and not a head banger.
2 of the same coasters 10 minutes from each other....WHAT WERE YOU THINKING SAN ANTONIO
for someone who’s afraid of heights what rides would y’all recommend for me at seaworld san antonio?
Steel eel
@@sharkpuppetscousin5187 LMAO
Journey to Atlantis and then steel eel is a great way to get over your fear, but if you’re not looking to do that unfortunately most of the coasters in this park use big drops as the main selling point
Any one else hear the kid throwing up?
mustache co. When?? And ewww lol 😂
when?
when
Lol I rewatched the video 5 times just to try and hear that. Never did hear it btw
Everyone is saying how it’s just the bat man but for the six flags in San Antonio it’s the exact same ride as the Goliath in San Antonio just different names
I said that SeaWorld Orlando's Manta roller coaster is better than this one
I loved that ride but now I’m a little scared
So smooth
I tried to go on but I’m to short
Heyyy... I’ve road this coaster before... but it was in Illinois... and Batman themed
I’ve been on this same one.
This is basically Manta at Seaworld Orlando except ur not laying down. It just LOOKS like it.
Medmac ik ive been on manta. What i mean is it LOOKS like it
life_as_ abby Oh. Never mind.
Medmac :)
Medmac did u delete ur comment from before??
life_as_ abby Yeah, because you edited yours.
I don’t hear nobody screaming weird
Where's the other train?
Sean Williams When it’s less people at the park, the operate on train.
To me this gose way faster or the feeling is way more intense then the Batman at sixflags over Texas -
this is just nemesis inferno
It is an inverted coaster but this is not the same layout as this.
12 Batman clones? Damn, Six Flags being cheap.
Who's There? Buy 11 get one free😉
Buy 11 get 1 free 😉
ernstwhere more like build one, build eleven more
ernstwhere Buy a Kumba, get every floorless coaster ever.
It's not B&M's fault others buy that layout.....
Nice video
This is *literally* the same layout as Batman at magic mountain
MosesthegamerYT G And 80% of all Six Flags Parks. Worldwide, there are 16 B&M Inverts with this exact layout
Really
Really?
MosesthegamerYT G Yes, and I correct, „only 12“ clones. Most in SF Parks, some in Japan
I didn’t know I was suppose to take oof my sandals but luckily someone told me
These invertsmake you feel like you're going to lose your shoes no matter how tight you tie them.
