Thank you so much for posting this video. It was the exact problem that we had with our injector pump and now she is running like a dream. Without this video we would have been absolutely lost and we would have lost $$$ on getting a new injector pump. Thanks again from Pittwater, Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺👌
Well, i'm happy the video was useful! 😊 And you are welcome.
Those high pressure pumps are a nightmare. Well done.
Thanx! 🙂
Better than television! THANKS 😜
😄👍
Persistence , Attension to detail.....NEVER GIVE UP... The winner takes the price...Congratulations....Well Done...l luv it...cheers
Thanx! We were so happy when that engine worked at last! 😁
Patience and perseverance is key. Well done
Thanx!
Hey Wim and Angia. Great demonstration of mechanical and educational + presentation skills !! That's the way someone should live and own his boat.
Haha, we hope so 😁 I still feel like an amateur!
Relentless man - well done. You’re a getting stuff done machine. Respect.
Thanx, man! :-)
Thank you sir. i screw up my pump mark and i got it fixed from watching your video. Once again thank you so much.
Good to hear, Denny! I am glad my video could be of help for you.
Mooie film man: daar kan ik nog wat van leren! Wat een doorzettingsvermogen...respect!
Dank! Dat is weleens anders geweest, haha! Trefwoord(en): ruggengraatloze amoebe...
Thank you
You helped me feel more confident when I cleaned up my injection pump on my John Deere 4100.
It works great now.
Haha! On your John Deere? So a tractor is not that different from an old catamaran? 😁
Well, I'm glad our video made another viewer happy. Thanx for telling me.
@@DoubleUThings ym
Yeah John Deere has been using Yanmar diesel engines in their tractors for years. My tractor has a 3cyl. Yanmar engine. The injection pump part wise is almost identical to yours, except mine are half the size and there are 3 of them
One for each cylinder. They're contained side by side in a little square box
Persistent guy wins in the end!!! Fantastic job
Thanx! But sooooooo happy that stupid engine runs again 🥴😊
Thank you Thank you Thank you. I have been struggling with my Mitsubishi R1500 tractor with the same issue. You cannot get the shop manual for this unit. But it uses the exact same injection pump and I will be using your video to resolve my issue. Cannot say thank you enough. 🙂
You are welcome! 🙂
Thanks for sharing. Very informative.👍
You're welcome! :-) And thanx.
Thank's a lot for sharing ! I was in trouble after dismounting and cleaning my 2GM inj pump, cannot solve the how and when connect trust piece with the plunger... but thank's to your video i did it !
Also I found the same problem with the small locking pin of the plunger barell, they were not enough inside and the barell could turn, now it is fixed !!!
Happy to be of help! :-) That dreaded plunger! 🤣
That was helpful and neat. Much appreciated
I am glad i could be helpful 😊
Thank you for advice!!! I Have the same problem with 2GMF fuel assembly pump. Will try to repeat your instruction.
Good luck, man! 🙂
You did a better job explaining and showing how to line that little Groove up with the way it goes I was having the same problem my motor would race now I'm fixed up real good thank you very much
Happy to be of help, man 🙂 It was a maddening problem, that cost me 3 days to find the cause.
Great video guys and shows that patience is a virtue!. I'm a new subscriber now. Incidentally I have a Yanmar GM10 which recently caused lots of starting problems and one issue for me was that the starter handle was too short to hand-crank the engine - ideally Yanmar should make SH with longer barrels for more confined spaces.
Thanx! Haha, yeah, i tried to start with thise starter handles ones, just for fun, but i am wondering if anybody ever succeeded! 😂 We better buy long oars to row if the Yanmars don't work. That was one of the reasons we wanted a catamaran with 2 engines 😊
My dear, dear Friend, you just saved me for a 400 € repair. Thanks. I had exactly the same problem, run away engine, only to stop with decompression lever.
Haha! Well, I'm glad I didn't make this video for nothing, then! 🙂
Well done!
And yes i know they are Temperamental little buggers!
Cheers Wim..
Thanx, Trev! Well, luckily they are quite old fashioned and thus reasonably simple engines. A little more horses would have been nice, though 🥴
Awesome video
Thanx!
Great video and safe travels my friend
Thanx! :-)
respect for your patience and skills. :-) love your channel. greetings
Well, I must admit that I have been "talking at high volume" to that stupid engine, haha!
@@DoubleUThings after so many fails I would probably go for the "hammer" solution ...
@@julexmaster That has been crossing my mind 😁😂
@@DoubleUThings 🙃
Way to go !
Goede uitleg, thanx!
Graag gedaan 🙂
Good job!
Thanx! 😊
What was very helpful I get to help out a friend with the same issues
Good to hear!
I like the phrase " DON't use VIOLENCE when taking things apart". ;-)
I guess I was mainly talking to myself, hahaha! Don't ask me why. 😬
But seriously, respect man!
Thanx! I was soooooo happy that we found it.
superb!!!!
Thanx again, haha! I try my best.
Ever sinds I found your kanaal I cannot stop looking (except for slapiedozie doen). You are such a grappig figure how u film en command eea. Learning a lot of u and je lovely wijf ;-)... Living on mijn sailboat and preparing it voor dat I met pensioen ga I'll pick up veel goede and nuttige things to add in mijn to do boek. Follow your vids all the weg, geweldig how jullie it doen. Sorry voor bad english...... Groet King Edward vanaf de "Pinta" Amsterdam.
p.s. Wees niet so bescheiden ( or is it an act) never mind ;-)
Hahahaha, mafketel!

Good job , it feels good to beat the money n diy
Thanx! And yeah, we really need a lot less money because we do everything ourselves!
Nice find 👍👍🇺🇸
Thanx! :-)
super fantastic
Thanx! 🙂
NICE VIDEO SIR
MORE BLESSINGS AND GOD BLESS 💞💞💞
Thanx! :-)
Bedankt!
great job , exactly how to do it,,
Thanx! :-)
You somehow forgot to mention that it was Anja’s idea to change the injector from port side, luckily I read her very entertaining blog 😂
Hahaha! By the way, those were the fuel pumps, not the injectors 😁 But indeed, I thought I mentioned it in the videos too, but that was not the case. She's a smart cookie, isn't she?!
mooi resultaat!
Dank je! 😊
Mooi om te zien en denk dat ik de buurman nu kan helpen met zijn dieselmotor
🙂 Goed om te horen!
Thanks a heap! I have same engine same issue and that’s after being “reconditioned “ by diesel people 🤪
You're welcome! 😊 I'm happy the video comes in handy for other people.
Thank you for you great video, but i dont understand how you can contol the fuel with the pump?
The plunger turns and because of that, because of that little channel that spirals upwards, the engine gets more or less fuel. En graag gedaan :-)
Thanks for sharing, I have a tacehuchi mini excavator TB10S, with an Yanmar engine 3T72LE-TBS engine. I tried to find a workshop manual for excavator and engine, but I can't find anything. Don't know what 3GM of3HM stand for exactly but I think its 3 cylinders. section 3.5 looks prety close like the one I have. So I will give it a go.
Any tips on where to go to find manuals?
I wish I remembered where I found a manual, Simon, but it's too long ago. I'm sorry.
Wow what website you find the diagrams that's great.. great job
Thanx! But I don't remember :D Sorry, too long ago
Where did you get the manual I’m having the same problem I’m going to try this but would really like to get my hands on a manual like you have
You can download manuals at the Spectra website, but I didn't do this all out of a manual.
I've had the exact problem to the T. I've removed and cleaned the injector pump, and I have the same problem with the engine running to 100% throttle. What did you do to the dowel pin that was lining up the plunger housing? I watched the video to its entirety several times so when I assembled it I though I lined it up correctly. Does the dowel pin (Plunger barrel stopper) need to be hit from the inside or the outside? TIA love the show
Thanx! But to answer your question... I don't know anymore! 😭😀 I feel really stupid, but I don't even know what you mean :-) I guess hitting small things is not good?
About the pin. I just put it back and very carefully ticked it inside till it was really stuck inside. So I hope it won't come loose again...
@@DoubleUThings I really appreciate your reply regardless, so no don't feel stupid it's a fairly complex assembly. I'll give it a go and see if it does anything. There is also a 10% chance the rack is not in the proper position so the throttle lever isn't connected to it and is just at the full throttle position. I can't tell you how much your video has helped me!
I have the exact same problem with my engine. After i found this video i was possitive i would solve the problem but i still have the same problem. The only thing that looks different is the shim between the pump and the engine block. How thick is your shim?
I honestly don't know. As far as I know they are the same with every 1GM10, but of course I can be mistaken, especially because yours is different. I read somewhere that the 2GM20 has the same shims, but two per pump. But I think it's not even 0,2 mm. It's really thin. But by the way, that shim is only for the timing, so I doubt that can cause your engine to run wild...
@@DoubleUThings Thanx. Great video anyway.
@@rennysilver9916 Thanx! Sorry that I don't have a solution for you.
good jobe i need the manule pleas if you can

Anyone know where to find (cheaper non OEM) parts to replace in Yanmar Injection pumps? They are Bosch style injection pumps. Parts will eventually wear out and need replacing.
I am specifically looking for a plunger and barrel assembly 104271-51100.YANMAR OEM Is around USD$160.
Hi! This is what one of the other viewers of this video wrote. Maybe it's something you can use: "I have been struggling with my Mitsubishi R1500 tractor with the same issue. You cannot get the shop manual for this unit. But it uses the exact same injection pump and I will be using your video to resolve my issue. Cannot say thank you enough."
Greetingz,
Wim
Can you put the source of diagram minute 14.52 please?
HI! It is in the service manual of the little Yanmar engines. Here is the download link: sbo.sailboatowners.com/downloads/Yanmar_1GM-10L_2GM-F-L_3GM-D-F-L_3HM-F-L.pdf
Have fun!
It's on page 3-3

Hi, I need help fixing a Yanmar engine. Please help me. Do you have a phone number?
Sorry, but i'm not a mechanic. The things i think i know, are all on video.
