Hi good video - one thing that might be worth mentioning particularly if you are new to the boat or someone else has used the engine. Check the engine stop lever has not been left pulled out! Sometimes this cannot be seen if not adjacent to the start key.
Very helpful iv just purchased a 36ft cruiser that's been standing since 2017 and I'm having trouble starting it but with your videos I should be able to get it started now thanks very helpful.
That's only bled part of the low pressure side of the system, there will still be air in the line between the secondary filter and the injector pump. You need to loosen the bleed on the pump and repeat the process using the lift pump lever. Then there will still be air in the high pressure side of the system, a lot of engines are self bleeding but if anyone here is genuinely stuck and their engine still isnt running you need to crack your injectors off and turn your engine over on the key until you see fuel coming out of each. (Do this one at a time, and be ready for the engine to possibly fire before you get to the last injector) Remember to shut your seacock off so you dont flood the engine with water and dont have it turning over for more than 10 seconds at a time so you dont fry your starter (let it cool off for a bit between turning). If your engine still isnt running then it's not a problem with air in the fuel.
You prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Kase Elisha I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Kase Elisha HOLY **** IT ACTUALLY WORKED! I just got access to my ig account within about 45 minutes of using the site. Just had to pay 15 bucks but for sure worth the money =) Thanks so much you really help me out!
As you start out, is power on and is the shifter in the neutral position. If the shifter is not properly positioned there is no current supplied to the starter.
Emergency into a jerry can is great, but don’t forget to mention that the jerry can will have a much decreased range if your engine is set up with a fuel return. You would need to unhook the fuel return and place it in your jerry can as well to get proper fuel consumption.
@Enrique Lorenzo yes, as in it will cycle fuel from your Jerry can into your fuel tank. (cooling injector system) I meant to try this with my Yanmar to see what the hourly consumption increase is. I know if you feel your fuel tank after a few hours of operation, it will feel quite warm.
Most common failures is Vacuum leaks! ... Make sure any connection is connected well... Even the non using taps on the Delphi pre-filter may leak ..... Use brass gasket rings and make sure the hose connections are tight
Nice video thanks for the info💕 Not to mention the fuel and water Seperator in this video has a little black ring inside if there is water in there the black ring will float right?
When opening the fuel separator to look for water contamination. Do you need to bleed that filter after draining some fuel from the bottom of the filter?
Hello, i have trouble while starting the engine first time of the day in early morning while the weather is warm, the starter have power to turn the engine, with the 3 4 times wont start, but after next try start normally, i already check filters bleeding, but couldnt find a solution.
Any time frame when one believes the injectors are “gummed up” and the spray pattern compromised because the boat / motor had been stored for an extended amount of time ? And if cleaning injectors is ideal vs new I believe once the spray pattern is compromised, the injectors nozzle spray does not ... “self correct” with any type of fuel tank additives or magic potions ... Then trouble shooting the injector pump - how? Those two parts on my 2gm20?were the issue on an otherwise perfect little 900 hour motor
It might be worth mentioning the return fuel system. You won't get very far on one can of fuel that is being returned to the main tank!

This has caught me out one time!

Did you get it started?
Did you get it started yet ?
Did you ever get your engine started 🤔
Did you get it started?!

@Billy Karson glad I could help :D
the best vid on the subject i have seen. thank you so much
Great video, I am working on my Volvo Penta MD11C, i got the diesel bug in it!
Good tip at the end !

very good explained, learned a lot....
Perfect with subtitles .Thanks.
Bonjour, merci pour vos vidéos sous titrees en français, elles sont simplement parfaites.
Remember the Diesel return is still going to the main fuel tank
I really want to know where they got that cutey little diesel test tank from ? I cant seem to find one anywhere .
Awesome vid! Absolutely perfect. 🍻⛵
With my 6 cylinder you have to bleed at each injector VS one central location….thanks for video
You mentioned electrics at the start but didn't cover it again after that.
I love the video
And the injectors ? And the injector pump bleed screw ?
When I pump the manual lift, nothing comes out of the bleed valve. Does this indicate the lift pump needs replacing or os something else going on?
Nothing on bleeding the injectors?
What if there's an air leak somewhere that caused the air in the fuel? How do you track that down?
When opening the fuel separator to look for water contamination. Do you need to bleed that filter after draining some fuel from the bottom of the filter?
Man, my sailboat’s engine got a bad leak.
Damn.
The water is a mess every time I start the boat.
Any suggestions?
I’d appreciate it.

Hi - what is the Yanmar demo engine you're using?
Thanks !
To bleed the fuel lines on my boat I just manually pump the lift pump until fuel flows out of the return fuel line.
Very good !
What do you do if there is water in the fuel
If the pre filter is empty on diesel. Do i just need to bleed or fill the second filter?
Is this water separator filter type ok for nanni diesel 21 hp ?

What do you do if there is water in fuel filter
If it's in the water separator, just drain it off by loosening the screw underneath, if it's in the main filter you must replace it with a new one
Ty sir
Hi, what could be the issue if the secondary fuel pump is still not receiving fuel?
Sorry, fuel filter
@@lytwilliams
Probably an airlock further upstream, bleed all the unions starting from the highest working you way right down to the injectors
So show the fuel coming out with bubbles.
Y does my beta engine won't sto
👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍
Where did they find this accountant to bleed the system with a ring spanner? 🤣 get a proper tool which turns more than 1/16th of a turn
Wot do you do with 18 month old diesel?
👍
