Thanks for the info. I didn't realize there would be issues with sound causing delay in movement. Something I'll have to watch when I start buying locos.
Hi, great and easy video. I have two engines Intermountain emd Sd40-2 with ESUlocksound, also I have my NCE power cab and I just read de CV values, and both have the same CV2 =2, CV3=40, CV4=56, CV5= 255 and CV6=88 both my problem is speed mach, they do not run at the same speed, Should I change CVs? thanks
Nice. Appreciate your time and knowledge regarding this topic. I’m trying to match different make decoders and it’s trying. Thanks for sharing. Subbed to your channel. 🚂
I know this is an older video but contemporaneous for me as I'm learning how to speed match. When the basic speeds are all set to zero - CV2 =0, CV6=0 CV5=0 how does the engine run or does that mean the decoder isn't looking at those values? I noticed my decoders all read O on those CVs even with bit 4 ofCV29 off or even at factory settings when new . Still in the learning process and I think one should have mastery of programing CVs through the command station before fooling around with JMRI IMO. Thanks Mario
Thanks much. Learned a lot. The coupler issue pull versus push and that the slightly faster engine should lead. Question. Wouldn’t having the faster engine second pulling several plus cars cause some compensation for the minor difference?
On my ho layout I've got a 35 car train with 1 loco in the front and 1 loco near the tail end bout 16 cars in front of the tail end, seems to work pretty good so far, but gotta keep a close eye on it, unfortunately once in a great while an accident can happen, so I usually keep mine at a safe speed.
@@claytons8263 you'll have to go through them and adjust them according to your locomotives individual needs. Watch the video and It'll help guide you.
Hey Shawn I Really Liked this Video it was really worth Watching, recently Did a Video on my RDA N Scale Channel of my SD70ACE MoPac/ BNSF Gevo Running together can you Watch the Video and Let me know what think about how my 2 Engines are Running together I had 2 Great Replys by Mike Fifer & Dave but I'd to hear what you think as Well.. these Engines are Both Running on my Inner Route which is being Ran by my NCE SB5 Smart Booster.. Both Engines have TCS Decoders installed I haven't done any adjusting on the Decoders other than changing the Road Number for my BNSF my MoPac is set @ 3 if can let me know I'd appreciate it.. And I will for Sure keep watching your Vidros..
