I own the Sony icfp26. Great radio for listening too AM radio as I do 8 hours a day at work due to its great signal and long battery life. The FM signal could be better however.
I have a Sangean radio (different model) for a fair few years in white finish; it looks nice but unfortunately, it is one of those that acquire a yellow colour over time. The yellowing can be bleached but as it involves a complete disassembly it makes me think that a black version would be a better idea.
sony ICFP26 is 1.5 inches long ? no you mean its width is 1.5 inches thick and the ICFP27 is the same except it uses a DSP chip inside but with a conventional dial, the difference is obvious when you tune them.
For a channel recommending radios, the obsession with appearance - which we can see because it's a YT presentation - is OTT. Meanwhile, the sound quality gets only a nod. Can't we hear some samples? Radio is about listening. What about guide prices?
I didn't get great results from my Vondior either. It did get better fm reception than the Sony, it the Sony is a very well built radio overall and I can highly recommend it.
The C Crane EP Pro you show, blows your top picks out of the water in reception, all at a modest price. For $200 you can get the Crane CC Radio 3 with weather band and bluetooth. Do research if you want to be taken seriously with these videos.
The trouble with digital readout radios is you can't completely turn it off, as it doubles up as a clock ☹️ so you have to keep talking the batteries out 👎
I bought that turquoise Studebaker. What a cheap piece of Chinese junk! Starting shorting out and died after 2 weeks. TWO LOUSY WEEKS! I replaced it with the much better Panasonic.
Most of the footage was lifted from todderbert's and other youtube channels, which actually reviewed many of these radios and are much more informative.
I have the Panasonic ( # 3 ) for a kitchen radio. The sound is great, easy to use and looks good in my opinion.
Thank you very much Sir to explain good radios.
Regards from Mumbai India
This is a great addion to an emergency kit to listen to any broadcasts if anything happens and your power goes out or cell phone towers are down.
Are any of these made in Japan?

Sangean SR 35 is better in FM
Sonys are built to last and are excellent AM radios. However they are decidedly lacking when it comes to FM.
Love ❤️ your wonderful video mate from Oz 🇦🇺🏁 I am still a big radio 📻 fan .

The Sony radio with my Sony headphones works great! Listen to all my sport channels and music.!

Where is sangean SR 35?
The sony icfp26 is excellent for the pricey
No. Radios with DSP cannot be used to listen to distant stations, which is what AM is largely for. No mention of DSP or no DSP here.
This video sounds like it was made by an AI. A lot of the features mentioned for individual radios apply to ALL of them.
Hi, I live in a rural area and looking for a radio with strong am frequency for stations that are 20 miles away or more. Any help is appreciated, Geo.
Try that C Crane EP-Pro, proven performer and affordable!
CCrane EP PRO or the Sangean PR-D4W if you want a digital readout and weather band. Both are equal on AM and the best reception possible.

SURPRISED YOU DID NOT MENTION THE PRICES OF THE RADIOS
ANNOYING TOO! 😎
I bought the Vondior and it stopped working after 1 day. Reception bad. AM. did not come in, but instead 2 FM . Very, very disappointed

I have a (PURE one mini DAB ) a year old I lost volume why . I love ❤️ the old versions Radio’s 📻 from Oz 🇦🇺🍺📻

Are they digital or analogue?
The little Sony is real non DSP analog. Most "analog" style radios are DSP internally.
Have the Sony,,, fm stopped working
Keep it coming to Oz 🇦🇺🥂🍾

Use rechargeable batteries and a USB charger you can use with a folding solar panel.
you better buy a DAB+ radio in Europe the FM band is rolling out in a few years

_The Sangean is good on FM, but for everything else it is the worst radio receiver._
It's a Studebaker
What a weird script. I feel like I'm being talked to like I've had a brain injury.
No 5 core!!!!?!?!?????
How we can believe this without hearing anything from those radios?
Its just about features and looks.
No use!

Studebaker is by far the worst piece of junk I've ever bought. Sent it back for a full refund. I've owned a LOT of radios.
Me too. Total Chinese crap.
