I'm glad I saw that it took a while for the prime to catch after packing. Knowing myself, I would drive myself up the wall, trying to figure out what I might have done wrong.
When screwing in the pump into the housing when do you stop? The manual says to thread it in all the way then back it off then tighten with the jam nut. I’m running into an issue where if I attempt to tighten it all the way it crushes the seal where you put the throat seal in.

I got that problem. As everything goes in America ther's no time for that. How much is the new part? We swap these days.

What kind of oil is in that cup?
To soak the packings, I just used motor oil. Thanks for watching
