London dispersion forces result from the coulombic interactions between instantaneous dipoles. Dispersion forces are present between all molecules (and atoms) and are typically greater for heavier, more polarizable molecules and molecules with larger surface areas. thank you
great explanation, thanks so much
I just realised Indian class 11 Chem is basically AP Chem.
what is AP?!
Advanced placement.
@@sensible1163 thanks!
same here in canada 😩
@@sensible1163 lol i hate ap chem its lowk so hard
thank you for making this lesson video
This man is a goat foreverr
If you're referring to the story my chemistry teacher told me, then happiness is being without a goat. Just thought it was a funny coment. I'm sure my teacher is more of a goat than this guy.
Amazing teacher.
You guy are so smart! 💖
How do you make these videos?
skills
great!!!!!
So the “London dispersion” force has to do with attractive forces, not dispersive…?
Another day, another slay 💅
Truly amazing, sir.
Are both London dispersion forces and van der Walls' forces the same??
London dispersion forces are one of the van der wall forces (it includes dipole-dipole, London dispersion forces, etc
Thanks
From Pakistan
Sal > everyone else
heyy
I believe London dispersion forces are the cause of gravity. Or in other words the polarization of atoms causes gravity. It is the same thing as the Van der Walls force except that the Van der Walls force is between molecules, and is therefore stronger than gravity.
first! Anyone else here cus of the virus and wanna get school work done?
