I cant believe Rhett is just now discovering frozen food. One of four children, parents work full time jobs that end around 6pm, all of these (especially the Texas toast) are staples! 😂
I find Rhett discovering frozen food hilarious. I'm disabled and have issues with mobility and chronic fatigue so I live on frozen food and it's gotten really good in recent years. Not good homemade good but waaaaaaaay better than what I could manage by myself during a flare.
A couple brands, I think, are pretty equivalent to homemade. Amy's meals are really good. I practically live on them as of recent, along with a few other brands. After cooking for mostly just myself for over 20 years I got tired of it and at the end of the day when I'm tired n done with work the last thing I feel like doing is cooking. If you haven't tired Amy's meals you should. The pizzas are good too. It's all vegetarian and some vegan. The cheese enchiladas are my favorite. The enchilada sauce is equivalent to what it tastes like at a Mexican restaurant in my opinion.
Same! I've always done frozen veggies, but leaned way more into it as my disabilities worsened. I don't have the spoons for preparing from fresh, every day. And fresh veg goes bad very fast!
@@mimsydreams Frozen vegetables are nutritionally equivalent and, in many cases, cook the same as well. Never feel bad about frozen veg!

Frozen side dishes have been a family favorite in our house since I was born. Texas toast is my jam with some marinara
Sometimes I think one of them just comes up with a bit that they want to hold onto for the whole episode and they just improv everything around that bit. Today Rhett decided his bit was "Link should get more frozen foods" and it doesn't matter what happens in the episode, he'll bring it back to that bit.

I work in the frozen foods section (manager) of a local store. Texas Toast brand has garlic knots and bread sticks, some with cheese filed. some with jalapeño cheddar. House brand is Best Choice very good also. .

Another great taste test ranking! FYI Rhett, Stater Bros is not a ski town store 😂it’s a “small grocer” from the inland empire with 170 stores so it’s not a huge conglomerate that’s in every town. The NY Texas Toast is super imo, tho the 5 cheese isn’t the first I grab 😅

I worked at a Pepperidge Farm outlet store for a few years, so I was able to try just about everything they make. And they really don't make a bad product, it's all delicious.

Yep on the steamers, just had broccoli and cauliflower. Brussels Sprouts are great too. If you want to make your family happy serve them freezer foods, never been said since the 50's.
I highly recommend trying lemon juice instead of butter on your steamed broccoli.

The top 2 definitely are the ones I always reach for. Most times I pick up the Texas toast one, that's the cheapest one that's not the store brand and I prefer it over the Pepperidge farm one.
