You cannot go wrong when you pair Jon Williams music with fountains and fireworks. Saving the Universal chords for the end was an incredible touch.

I refuse to watch this or any nightime show on video because of how they don’t give the shows justice. It’s the same for all shows with examples being Fantasmic, This, Cedar Fairs opening day fireworks, and so much more
Awesome! Favorite part was Back to the Future! Wish they had the drones in the shape of the DeLorean flying through the sky lol
Nice to see touches of "Epic Universal" IP lands thrown in the mix such as Mario, Monsters, and Dragons. Harry Potter segment was spectacular. The music always gives me the feels!
I mean monsters are a very important part of universals history. It goes way beyond just one park's IP. The monster movies were arguably the lightning rod for universals early success.
Seeing “Peaches” just makes me want a Nintendo nighttime show so much more.

The Universal Monsters section straight up gave me chills
The lead into ghostbusters was just perfection. That entire section is so pretty

The trolls section was surprisingly great. I liked how they used the universal theme song at the end lol
Considering the relatively small size of this lake, it’s an impressive lagoon show that celebrates some of the greatest cinematic scores Universal owns and licenses-which means it’s fantastic! I was a Disney kid through and through, yet I’m constantly pleased by Universal’s latest projects. Not gonna bury my head in pixie dust to pretend Disney is still at the top.

For an attraction magazine post..I can agree. Tbh the show is busy to keep your eyes in one spot. Total sensory overload. (A good one)
The segments where they used the extra elements to enhance the clips are a lot better than the bits where they just project the clips onto the buildings or just project generic stuff. The trolls, despicable me, jaws, back to the future and ghostbusters segments use it really well. I think the kong segment could’ve used more drones to make the empire state feel more like part of the skyline, rather than a 2D billboard.
SPECTACULAR!!!! I hope it's still going on mid November when I will be there. Truly AWESOME!

Whoever did this video sure doesn't know how to film! Couldn't see anything clear need to stay stationary and pan wide quit the zooming in and out doesn't work with this type of show get a professional to do these videos! Just saying

It's very enjoyable but some of the water screen projections aren't very clear, too much thrown on it in every moment, slight edit would do a big different. Anyways, Universal is on direct route to beat disney...

Yes the water projections were a little hard to make out. Also maybe reduce the streams of water shooting up because they maybe affecting the projections. Other than that Excellent Job Universal! Beat Disney at it's own game!
This all depends on the weather too....if it's a little too windy over the lagoon the water sprays aren't as direct as they would normally be. This would happen with the previous show as well. Not much Universal can do about that.
I LOVED the Transformers segment! The Peaches segment blew me away too.
Sat waiting for Jaws, was not disappointed!

Let me just say that CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular looks absolutely incredible! The way that the show combines drones, fountains, pyrotechnics and more, along side moments from various films, is fantastic! Universal Creative is really stepping up their game! 😀👏👏👏👍👍

This is the hottest take I can make. If Disney stuck with their decision to keep Enchantment and not bring back HEA, this would be the greatest nighttime show we have right now.
Oh sure. Let's permanently keep a fireworks show that almost NOBODY actually likes and remembers and get rid of one that pretty much EVERYBODY actually likes and remembers. That would make perfect sense. 🙄🤦♀

Although I like it, I do wish they had incorporated more of the following: consistently using projections onto the buildings and drones for all sequences, transitions could be less jarring and more Dreamworks and Illumination properties plus the Bourne Trilogy too. and although they used all the most important and popular IPs they had, I am also not sure that is the ideal sequences of events but I do like how the ones they did use were portrayed 😃

My only complaint about this show is that there's not enough pyro. Also, the drawer should have been in 3D similar to the electrical Sky parade Paris. They still did a really good job in this by far their best night time show so far
The problem with Universal and pyro is their location. The theme park is really close to a lot of residential zones so I'm pretty sure they have certain ordinances they have to follow.
@@dashkataey1740 That's not an excuse honestly, Fantasmic uses low-level pyro and it looks much better and higher quality than this. You don't need shell fireworks to be impressive, Just look at Fantasmic at Disneyland in California. Doesn't have a single shell that explodes in the air but it looks incredible, because it's high quality
That's a very low bar to clear. USO nighttime shows have been terrible and this is just slightly above terrible. No narrative. Nothing to make you feel something other than look its Jurassic Park. Oh now its Mummy.

This show follows the same idea of World of Color featuring a bunch of properties, there's no narrative to it. It's all explained in the intro, it's a celebration of the music that helps tell stories. If you think this is slightly above terrible then I just assume you order your steaks well done and flavorless.
@@adster2000 Its just ok. World of Color is not just a bunch of properties thrown together. In every iteration it has told a story either through narration or original song. This can't hold a candle to WoC. Even the drones are subpar. Go look at Dreams that Soar and the difference between how drones are used in that show versus what this show did. They started well with toothless being 3D and then everything else was just 2D. This is just songs from movies with random scenes added. There are not even transitions from movie to movie. I am guessing you also thought Villaincon was amazing.
I'm sure looks better in person, but was hard to keep up with what was being shown, needs to slow down projection so can appreciate it better, it's good start just needs tweaking, and why did one of the buildings in the backdrop not get used? Empty space between ones on RH side??
Its the best thing Universal has ever had, but I still prefer World of Color as a fountain show and Dreams That Soar as a drone show.

@@1992disney let me jog your memory. A lot of imagineers left Disney during pandemic times and went to universal. Those imagineers paired with universal own engineers came up with this amazing show and more amazing things down the line

It’s fine. My main issue is the show is very wide rather than tall. So the drones look so swallowed up by everything else. Compare that to the impact the Casey Jr train drone has going over the Disney castle in Paris.
It does feel like a World of Color with some relatively small drones popping up every so often.

We are at the point where Universal can poop in a box and Universal fans will praise it as the greatest thing ever because its not Disney. I agree that it was an Ok show. No story. Very few fireworks and 2D drones figures. There was nothing in there that gives you any emotions.

@@josephferrara6309 I don’t think there was supposed to be a story, it just had different segments celebrating different IPs used in the Universal Orlando parks. Also it may have looked too messy if they used even more fireworks. I think the amount of drone images they did was good enough.
Btw, Cinesational is mainly a lagoon show, so obviously the water is going to be used the most.

What was the story there? It was just a bunch of movies thrown together with minimal fireworks and a few drones.
The past and present of universal films and the iconic music from them is the story. Universal has never had the pyro budget but this isn’t bad.

Where to begin..... this show stresses me the heck out. It's chaotic, cluttered, and disorganized. It feels like Universal Creative just said lets take everything we possibly can cram into a lagoon show and throw it all in there together and see how it turns out. From the cheesy narrator, to the generic theatrical soundtrack that sounds like something from Epidemic Sound, a show that is supposed to be all about the beautiful music in movies failed to give me any feelings whatsoever other than anxiety.
They should have kept Cinematic Celebration as the basis for the show, including the soundtrack, and just updated/upgraded the fountains and visual effects. Add in the drones. Maybe add some different scenes for different IP's. That would have been better than this.
Sounds like you're in the minority because everybody else here seems to like it. 🤷♀
