As pricey as this tour can be, the fact that you get instant access to rides, a couple meals, and all the bts info possible makes it worthy of a splurge. Thank you for letting us live vicariously through y’all ❤️
@@MicheleKlingerwhat’s weird is at the one in Hollywood me and my wife didn’t have to pay for any extra entrance fee. It’s completely worth it. It was so much fun.
VIP tour in Orlando is -- good. For the price it's a solid upgrade if you're going to shell out for Express pass anyway. VIP tour in California, on the other hand, is NEXT. LEVEL. The backlot tour alone is worth the money. Next time you guys are in California I cannot recommend it highly enough. Go. Film it. You won't regret it.
As someone who sells these 5 days a week, a couple things to add. If you just want to do one park, you do have the option of a 1 park tour. The private version also includes dinner, after the tour ends, with a meal voucher. Depending on the time of year, sometimes a VIP tour is only about $15 more expensive than express pass for the day, with way better perks. Just to arm the Mam Fam with all the information that may make or break their decision for a VIP tour. Always call the Guest Services number, or speak to a vacation planner in your hotel or at the front of the park if you have any questions!
I'm going to universal and islands of adventure Orlando in October. I got the 1 day 2 park pass. I ended up purchasing fast passes because it seems to be a busy time of year and I wanted to get done as many rides as possible in the one day being there. Do you think the fast passes will actually get me and my boyfriend ahead of lines quicker?
@@sadiemahler4348Absolutely! I was just there this past weekend and used Express, and it saved to much time for my party. Instead of waiting an hour for Velocicoaster, we made it on in about 20 minutes. Spider-Man was posted as a 30 minute wait, and we were on in about 5. Express is definitely the best way to ride everything, and works on the Hogwarts Express for park hopping!
update: we did it ALL and got through lines SOOO much faster. very worth it to buy the fast passes. (doesn’t include hagrids) get to hagrids early in the morning.
My wife and I, neither of whom like crowds, heat, or humidity, and both of whom have disabilities are sitting here in our Sydney home seriously discussing the advantages of doing the VIP tour. Our verdict, incidentally, is it sounds definitely worth it.
You cen also get a disability pass, which is a free but can be complicated to get. You can't "skip" the line per say. They give a wait time and you basically wait outside of the line. There also accomadations they provide. I have one for both disney and universal and it has made my time there so much better.
Did this for my Daughter's College Graduation last year. It was an awesome experience! Our tour guide was phenomenal, you could tell she loved her job. As an extra bonus, the day we had booked the tour ended up being the last day for Poseidon's Adventure. I was just hoping to go see the show that day, but she was able to get us, the rest of the group (and her of course) the wrist bands to go in for the final showing! I won't mention our tour guides name as I do not want to embarrass her, but she was excellent and I would highly recommend doing this tour at least once in your life.
Just me freaking out that we were there at the same time and must have been on Hagrid's at about the same time since we got on right after it went down with a short wait. I think I might have embarrassed my family if I actually saw you guys -- our whole Disney/Universal trip went amazing thanks to you guys!
How about a video about little-known passholder perks at some of the parks? I know at some of the restaurants at Universal, there are passholder-exclusive food items. Would'nt mind you trying a few out. I had the sliders at Confisco yesterday for lunch and was quite happy with it.
Molly, Forbidden Journey made my family feel sick UNTIL we started wearing Seabands. Now, we can keep our eyes open for the whole thing, and feel fine. Highly recommend!
Absolutely worth the money! We paid $800 for 3 people in 1/2023. Both meals were done at La Bamba for us. We walked on 12 rides and had a drop off at 13th. That included the Mummy tour and cutting through some of the studio offices and getting to look at one of the sound stages behind. Our roof top view was at Jimmy Fallon studios. to add to your point if you opt for the full private tours you can pick the rides and even ride them multiple times with a 3rd meal added in at a restaurant of your choosing. Our tour lasted from 9am - 230 and we were too tired to use the express passes but we did take advantage of the merch and restaurant discount buying the majority of our items then we had picked out earlier in the week. The tour was the only time we got to ride several of the rides and while I did miss seeing the Qs I'm glad we got to at least ride those once with the VIP tour.
I know it would be a horrible idea, but I'm with Molly - if Jurassic Park were real, I'd go lol. And Jaws and Jurassic Park are documentaries. Molly is correct about that lol.
I'd like to see a video in a similar vein: What would you do to spoil Grandma and Grandpa? Like, if you took the family plus some grandparents in their 70s or 80s, what extras would you splurge on to make the trip as easy as possible? VIP tour, club level hotel, suite hotel room or villa, etc...
I skipped the line at Hagrid’s once without a VIP tour thanks to an amazing team member who was chatting me up about my Lil Sebastian shirt and liked it so much he gave me a ticket only they can hand out to let you skip the line. It made my whole trip!! Another reason to always be nice to team members 😊
I love the VIP Universal Tours! You get all the water you need, the sunscreen and sanitizer are new! We realize we definitely prefer the VIP days, lol. Best way to get on the busiest rides! Also the guides are fabulous!!
For shorter wait lines: If you stay at the deluxe Universal hotels, you get free Express Unlimited ticket upgrades, one hour early access for Harry Potter, and restaurant priority. That’s more realistic for a family trip.
As a 47 year old HP fan, Miriam Margoyles words were upsetting! I especially enjoy the Super Carlin Bros. Podcast “Through the Griffin Door” as they analyze the books chapter by chapter. Now my adult children and I have wonderful discussions about the books and movies. Long live HP! ⚡️
I have been waiting for this video …. Brb 😊Ok, I am back lol. Great video love that y’all kept track of wait times verses posted:-). I think I’m really gonna do this in December. It looks great. I would love if they would just let me ride Hagrids back to back to back to back to back to back to back lol😊Thank you Molly and Alan for sharing this with us and keep up the great work
I just want to say thank you. I lost one of my fave people yesterday, my Uncle Larry, and watching your video is just what I needed. Thank you for what you do and for the escape it gave me ❤
The E.T. ride holds a special place in my heart. I was obsessed with the movie growing up, and when I finally rode it as a kid, it was pure magic. I vividly remember feeling amazed and wonderstruck the first time I experienced it. Every time I ride it, I'm transported back to that childhood wonder, feeling like I'm reliving the magic for the first time. Anyone who's been on it knows how enchanting it is - soaring above the city and entering E.T.'s world, leaving you in awe. I never wanted the ride to end! It's not just an incredible ride, but a cherished memory with my family from the early 2000s. If they ever think to get rid of it, it would be devastating. I still adore the movie, and this ride is a nostalgic escape for me. I hope they never change it, because it's a time machine that takes me back to happier times, when loved ones were still with me. So many fond memories come flooding back when I ride it.
Yes, I would love to see the VIP tour at Disney ☺ I watched a video where someone did the VIP at Universal Hollywood, and they got to walk around on the backlot where Back To The Future was filmed, that was also incredible fun to watch (FYI I think it was a rare occurrence they were able to visit because there happened to be filming at the regular lot the tour visits). Disney is fun, but Universal has such a special place in my heart, I’m happy to see a Universal video again 💕
I think I'm happy to live vicariously through Molly and Alan with this one. The experience looks great, but my wallet says I'm not a very important person 😂.
Best review I've seen for the VIP Tour. Super appreciate the thorough food review....everyone else skips over that. lol. One week till my VIP experience!!
Thanks, M&A! We’re pass holders at USH. I’ve heard good things about the VIP package, this is great info! I’d love to see Disney VIP tours. Or what NASA-related activities can be done in FL?
Thank you for sharing your experience as this was super beneficial to me! I never knew that Universal Orlando had a VIP tour and this looks interesting. Cam looks like an amazing tour guide providing some amazing facts/trivia about each land of the park. I will have to go with the VIP tour at Universal Studios Hollywood as it sounds costly at Universal Orlando. As a huge HP fan, I've been wanting to see these new rides and Diagon Alley and I hope to in the future.
We booked this at Universal Hollywood a few years ago. When we arrived, they had no details of our booking because our Travel Agent had mucked it up. The Universal team could not have been nicer, however, and whilst we didn't get to go on the VIP tour we did get the VIP lanyard which gave us front of line and all the other perks FOR FREE!
I did the VIP tour last September (my boss paid for it, lol) and it was awesome. Loved our tour guide and even got to see a tiny snippet of the Stranger Things HHN house. Way better bang for your buck than Disney's VIP tour honestly. I did lose my headband riding front row on Velocicoaster though.
Just had the best Birthday week in Universal! Icing on the cake! We saw a quick glimpse of you both on Hollywood Boulevard yesterday! Thank you for all of your fun videos and tips! Feels like we saw some good friends!❤️
The 3 minute access to Hagrid's is worth $1k alone (just as Molly said) - the wait line veers up several flights of oddly shaped stairs, all in the sun, and meanders in all different directions. The line is easily two hours or so. (My son LOVED Velocicoaster and that line is inside so it is not as bad).
I haven’t ridden Hagrid’s Motor Bike Adventure, but Forbidden Journey is still my favorite Harry Potter ride! This tour depending on the time of year seems worth it!
I did the VIP tour at Universal Studios in California and enjoyed it. It was for my 40th birthday and it included an extreme back lot tour. I got to see and touch costumes from a lit of movies and see a lot of props from the movies that you could rent.
We are actually switching from WDW annual passes to Universal passes. We will do this for our daughter’s birthday so thanks for the idea. Fresh haircut Cam! Lookin’ good.
Had the opportunity to do one around the holidays last year and was worth it for sure! It's interesting to see how the tour varies a bit as ours traversed through the back side of the park a bit differently, didn't go up on the bridge, with our tour mainly having adults we did mostly thrill rides, and our lunch was at Finnegan's which was delicious and DID include a full size dessert. As a side note, they also offer VIP tours of a single park if you don't want to do both (during slower times).
Love you guys...amazing videos!! So, just watched this video and immediately booked via Undercover Tourist, so huge thanks for the recommendation - saved about 60 bucks 😀
When Twister used to exist, the VIP tour took me to the VIP waiting area in the ride and let me stand in the control room while the ride was running. It was an amazing experience and worth the money (I went at a quiet time of year). I was also on the shared private tour, but the day I went, it was just me, so I had my own VIP guide across both parks.
We did the VIP tour at Universal in CA and it was exceptional. I still dream about the buffet lunch. BEST ever. The "backlot" tour (can't remember the Universal name for it) was awesome too. We got to stop and walk around the War of the Worlds set and walk around in the props building. I could not keep from looking over my shoulder to make sure Norman Bates was not joining us (as I heard it can happen from time to time).
You can ask for an immigration tour at the entrance to MIB and if you’re lucky you can walk down there! I’ve done it 4 times so far and it has been just me and a friend every time! It’s super cool AND those weird seats are surprisingly comfortable
Me too. It’s so confusing. Do the tour guides get paid less than the team members who work at the counter service locations, rides or in other roles where tipping isn’t usual? If not, then why do they need to be tipped 20%+?
Would love to see all VIP tours at Disney, or any and all of the tours lol. Loved this! That was definitely a heavy price tag, I could not pay that price unless I saved for a long time. 😊
I just wanted to say personally thank you for the tip about riding Hagrid's around 10! We waited only 45 minutes when the posted wait all day had been 120 :)
Highly recommend the VIP tour, you get great food, hit all the rides in both parks with front of the line access and usually see a show or two. My daughter and I always spend the first day doing the VIP tour and then following days relax and hit up our favorites. We always go during HHN once a year for 5-6 days and typically you get to see a house or two during your tour also. Last year we ate at Confisco Grille for lunch during the tour, restaurants have been different every tour but it's nice to experience different ones. Considering the cost of unlimited express passes and eating at a nice restaurant the cost is well worth it IMO to get the special treatment. Note, make sure you still wait in line at Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure & Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey as they have amazing queue lines that you miss when taking the tour :)
Fun fact all the people in the portraits are backstage workers (make up artists, carpenders, painters, electricians, prop makers, maintainence workers and so on)
We did the VIP tour in California last May, and it was so worth it. The backlot tour extras, getting to get out and actually be on the set of "Back to the Future" in Hill Valley which is still one of my favorite movies was amazing. And to top it off my six year old loved Nintendo World and wants to go back just to ride Mario Cart again(which we got to do twice) because of the tour lol
I hope you ate the Spanish Bocadillo they only have during the Mardi Gras event... I had it 2 years ago. Best little sandwhich I have had in my life lol. Immediately got a second right after even though I ate a bunch of stuff before.
I wish universal would team up with whole foods and have a really nice place to eat inside the park where you know everything is as close to organic as you can get
We are booked for Private ViP tour in June for family of 5. My reason was what you mentioned and I feared, kids want a different experience to adults so we would either put out other adult guests or we would miss out in the group vip tour. Excellent video, adore you both, and the total wait time you saved. I’m a penny pincher in a lot of ways but see vip worth it.

I’m going to request a ‘butt’ sighting compilation at the end of the year… and all of Alan’s reactions to them. Please!?! 🤣💚
My parents bought VIP once, and it was so good that they now refuse to go there without it
You can ask for an immigration tour at the entrance to MIB and if you’re lucky you can walk down there! I’ve done it 4 times so far and it has been just me and a friend every time! It’s super cool AND those weird seats are surprisingly comfortable
I don't live in a country that tips so the thought of a 200 USD tip just shook me to my core 😅
Me too. It’s so confusing. Do the tour guides get paid less than the team members who work at the counter service locations, rides or in other roles where tipping isn’t usual? If not, then why do they need to be tipped 20%+?
Because you can. Consider it part of the total cost. Whatever you do while visiting the US, don’t skimp on tips. Just factor them in.
We have been saving up and in August on my 21st birthday we are doing a vip universal Orlando experience and I’m so excited
My kids and I were called stinky on our trip last month 😂 this is a super hilarious joke for a second grader
Cam had a nice haircut! What a cool tour!
Good morning MamFam!
Absolutely love your shirt, Molly!!
Yes, I LOVE Molly's shirt, too! ❤
I just LOVE u guys. Ur at ALL parks and other places n give us the BEST video info etc. Thanks guys. Hi max
Would love to see a vip tour at WDW!! All of the top thriller attractions
Love seeing these tours and would love to see them at Disney World in each park!
Do VIP at Disney next please!! That’s always been a dream I’d love to see if it’s worth it.
Even with the Express Pass you do not get on rides as fast as they did - so it isn't 100% equivalent - it really is a special experience.
I’d love to see a Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise. 😊
For Hagrid’s I did single rider and got on in 10 minutes posted wait was over 2 hours
The Star cruiser shade was great 😂
This looks like a blast! Could you try one of the orlando informer meet ups to compare??
Those VIP deserts are new. Very cool!
I truly enjoyed the boop! Thank you!
