Seventeen is VERY diverse. They’re self produced, so I think they have a lot of freedom in what they put out. And there’s so many members that they can split off into different groups and units when they want to do something that may not suit the whole group. And with them coming up on 10 years together as a group, they also have a lot of music. A lot of different styles that it’s virtually impossible to not find at least one song you like. And a lot of times, even if you may not vibe with a song at the moment, you will probably feel differently about it later. Also, I think they have all at one point been bleach blond 😂
Woozi, seventeen member and main producer once said he didn't want to confine seventeen in just one kind of genre. That's why seventeen song always change depends on the message they want to give to their listener. Watching seventeen is like growing together with them, from youth, love, self love, empowerment, etc. I think it's really great to stan such a wonderful group. :)
something else i think is worth noting about seventeen and their music is that bc they're self produced and has been since debut (woozi is their main producer and has written and produced 99% of their discography, all of the members have writing and/or producing credits on at least a few songs)--but bc of this, their concepts tend to be stories that they want to tell at that point in time, so their concepts tend to be very realistic and emotionally grounded. it also allows them to tailor their concepts and music to something that suits them, which makes it more enjoyable for the audience. ive seen many people say they hate when bg's do cute concepts bc they find it cringey, and then they watch some of seventeen's fresh and cute songs and find they enjoyed it. whatever concept seventeen do, its because they want to do it, so it never feels forced

‘If you leave me’ is actually my favorite song from ‘Face the Sun’ album, which was the first album I actually listened to in full after I started listening to Seventeen’s music in 2022. (I had only really been a Cubic at that point, religiously watching gose episodes and watched a few SVT title tracks)

I think most of Seventeen title track is more towards singing than rap which makes it loveable by girlgroup stan, even in their b-sides other than HipHop sub-unit's song.. i don't think there are much songs that are heavy on rap.. And u can react to their Killing Voice if you guys want to hear snippets of their b-side songs.. because i personally love their b-sides more than title track.. Also for a Guide video, i have a recommendation, there's a guide video from caratline17 that i really like, but it's pretty long that they have cut it into 4 parts.. you guys can watch those videos if you want but take your time guys.. no need to rush!! The most well known emotional songs amongst carats are Circles (written by Woozi primarily for Wonwoo, when his mother passed away), Kidult (which the leader, S.Coups wrote after his hiatus due to severe anxiety), and Yawn (which Woozi wrote for Seungkwan who had burnout + his friend pass away). There are a bazillion emotional songs that they have though, amongst their b-sides like Smile Flower (which Woozi wrote about his members), Hug, etc. !

Hey guys! I just met your channel through Seventeen and am gonna check more! But you talked about range in girl groups and as a gg stan (with a few bg exceptions like Seventeen, TXT and Oneus) I kind of agree... There are however a few great girl groups with a bigger vocal range like Mamamoo, CLC (disbanded) Purple Kiss, Bvandit (also disbanded), EXID and Wendy from Red Velvet who actually has a very well developed lower vocal range (but then again, It is Wendy). There are also a few female idols with lower voices that I feel are pretty underutilized in songs.
seventeen has so many different song genre! I'd recommend watching left & right and homerun together, ready to love and rock with you, hot and super, _world and god of music
My top 3 seventeen songs (right now) are Circles, ひとりしゃない (Not Alone, I prefer the japanese version), and Fear. Congratulations to checking out the boy groups. TXT and Seventeen are just some of my favorite boy groups. I kind of understand you with not liking boys groups because I am kind of that way with girl groups. I do listen to some girl groups but for me the girl groups are too poppy and they kind of all sound the same. I feel like with any group they will have some songs you don't like. I started my kpop journey back in 2021 with BTS. I am older so I grew up in the era with boy groups, so it was more familiar for me. I mostly stan boy groups I just like their vibe more, the vocal range of the groups and some I have watched them in survival shows to debut. Can't wait for you guys to watch the guides of these groups you may fall deeper in love with them. 💜
7:28 that’s what I was about to say me as a Kpop fan started standing during the last half of third gen I love gg 80% of my playlists and fav songs are girlgroups but if we’re talking about who’s my ults only one is a gg which is twice and then their is txt and Svt , outside of those two I would call myself a bg stan I would say I’m a casual listener of bgs that are Svt and txt and I ACTUALLY have had an era of me discovering and lots boy groups but in the end I would fall out of them and the main reason for me is because their music gets more noisy… like you know more boy groupish and thats when I fall out of stanning them that’s why the biggest reason for me that made me stan and stay with txt and svt is because their VERY VERSATILE even their boy groups songs sound good, like I would go back and listen to groups i fell out of again and their songs kinda sound annoying if I listen to it more than once.. groups i had an era with are got7, skz, nct, ateez, like I’m not saying their music is bad but it gets annoying at some point like I loved skz songs after they debuted and the most recent songs that I love from them is on track, got7 their music is really good but lots of things happened with them, nct… their songs are definitely songs I liked first listen and then hated or hated first listen and hated even more on sec listen,ateez have good songs but I preferred their song wave, and their lots of other groups it’s like I have to listen to their entire discography to see what a concept they tried for fun and what’s their actual sound so I could decide to stay or leave …

the comment about having an idea that bg's only do "boy group" music while gg's are more versatile is funny to me, because I've seen bg only stans express the opposite sentiment about gg music. obviously there are stereotypes on both sides which is why i often wish people would try to branch out a little more, especially when it comes to just listening to the music. the only group i stan is seventeen but its so easy to be a casual listener in kpop bc there are so many good songs, and theres enough variety for anyone to find something they like

He’s Taiwanese Hyun: The mystery guy, trainee for 5 years, never appeared in the kpop scene before debut, amazing singing skills, we don’t know much about him yet, only that he met Wumuti 4 years ago as trainees. He’s Korean Haru: Maknae, Ex- Boys Planet too, is a prodigy in dancing and very skilled. Still learning korean so can be a bit shy to speak in public, members help him out. Haru is Japanese 4 members, 4 different nationalities Wumuti chose them one by one, came up with the concept, style and song! He’s and ARTIST

Hey guys! I just met your channel through Seventeen and am gonna check more! But you talked about range in girl groups and as a gg stan (with a few bg exceptions like Seventeen, TXT and Oneus) I kind of agree... There are however a few great girl groups with a bigger vocal range like Mamamoo, CLC (disbanded) Purple Kiss, Bvandit (also disbanded), EXID and Wendy from Red Velvet who actually has a very well developed lower vocal range (but then again, It is Wendy). There are also a few female idols with lower voices that I feel are pretty underutilized in songs.
i definitely recommend their Japanese release fallin flower it’s one of my favorites

Congratulations to checking out the boy groups. TXT and Seventeen are just some of my favorite boy groups. I kind of understand you with not liking boys groups because I am kind of that way with girl groups. I do listen to some girl groups but for me the girl groups are too poppy and they kind of all sound the same. I feel like with any group they will have some songs you don't like. I started my kpop journey back in 2021 with BTS. I am older so I grew up in the era with boy groups, so it was more familiar for me. I mostly stan boy groups I just like their vibe more, the vocal range of the groups and some I have watched them in survival shows to debut.
Can't wait for you guys to watch the guides of these groups you may fall deeper in love with them. 💜

7:28 that’s what I was about to say me as a Kpop fan started standing during the last half of third gen I love gg 80% of my playlists and fav songs are girlgroups but if we’re talking about who’s my ults only one is a gg which is twice and then their is txt and Svt , outside of those two I would call myself a bg stan I would say I’m a casual listener of bgs that are Svt and txt and I ACTUALLY have had an era of me discovering and lots boy groups but in the end I would fall out of them and the main reason for me is because their music gets more noisy… like you know more boy groupish and thats when I fall out of stanning them that’s why the biggest reason for me that made me stan and stay with txt and svt is because their VERY VERSATILE even their boy groups songs sound good, like I would go back and listen to groups i fell out of again and their songs kinda sound annoying if I listen to it more than once.. groups i had an era with are got7, skz, nct, ateez, like I’m not saying their music is bad but it gets annoying at some point like I loved skz songs after they debuted and the most recent songs that I love from them is on track, got7 their music is really good but lots of things happened with them, nct… their songs are definitely songs I liked first listen and then hated or hated first listen and hated even more on sec listen,ateez have good songs but I preferred their song wave, and their lots of other groups it’s like I have to listen to their entire discography to see what a concept they tried for fun and what’s their actual sound so I could decide to stay or leave …

the comment about having an idea that bg's only do "boy group" music while gg's are more versatile is funny to me, because I've seen bg only stans express the opposite sentiment about gg music. obviously there are stereotypes on both sides which is why i often wish people would try to branch out a little more, especially when it comes to just listening to the music. the only group i stan is seventeen but its so easy to be a casual listener in kpop bc there are so many good songs, and theres enough variety for anyone to find something they like

Wumuti: leader, producer, lyricist, participant of Boys Planet, Under19, Build Up and more. Debuted 2 times before with his solo project and as a member of the ballad group WATERFIRE, formed in the reality build up. He’s Chinese and Well known in the Kpop scene
Rui: Real name Chen Kuanjui, danced his hole life, also Participated in Boys Planet and it is a legendary dancer and produce for XLov too. He’s Taiwanese
Hyun: The mystery guy, trainee for 5 years, never appeared in the kpop scene before debut, amazing singing skills, we don’t know much about him yet, only that he met Wumuti 4 years ago as trainees. He’s Korean
Haru: Maknae, Ex- Boys Planet too, is a prodigy in dancing and very skilled. Still learning korean so can be a bit shy to speak in public, members help him out. Haru is Japanese
4 members, 4 different nationalities
Wumuti chose them one by one, came up with the concept, style and song! He’s and ARTIST
