There is a lore to this music video and its scary. The song has a lyrics "who's a liar?" Asking who is the one that broke their promise and the liar is actually soobin. In this music video, if you watch every member and their expressions very closely, you can notice that soobin is always unhappy and grumpy. The reason is because he thinks he is being left out from his friend group and others are forgetting about him, so he kinda becomes evil(?) or you can say kinda jealous and its shown in this album's teaser trailer where the members are chatting with each other almost ignoring him or should i say the monster in their lore is making soobin think that they are ignoring him. There is a creature/monster in their lore who kinda controls the txt members. that creature is like a demon without any specific form. So since the creature made soobin think he is lonely and is getting forgotten, jealousy takes over soobin and he wants others to suffer the same thing as him. He intentionally invites the other members to his house. Soobin tried to drift himself away from others.. and taehyun (the one with red hair) noticed that soobin is being left alone so he starts to spend more time with soobin in the teaser which was basically what soobin wanted in order to take revenge. Soobin kinda manipulated taehyun that others are forgetting these 2 and taehyun tries to stay away from others too. In the beginning where the members ring the doorbell to Soobin's house, everyone looks excited and happy except taehyun. Because he doesn't want to be with them. And because of this, their friendship is breaking apart. Beomgyu noticed that their friendship is getting ruined but he thinks that the cause is taehyun, which is why he tried to harm taehyun and annoy him by trying to choke him under the blanket, throwing sauce at his shirt which taehyun clearly found annoying. And then hueningkai notices that something is not right between them. Which is why he is sat alone most of the time, but eventually the members get him involved in their play which is throwing tomatoes at each other. It seems all fun but beomgyu soobin and taehyun are actually fighting with eachother. Hueningkai didn't want to join but they make him join too. Yeonjun thinks that e everyone is just playing around having fun. But when he see the members covered in tomato and there is fire behind them, that's when he finds out that they are not playing, they are literally trying to harm eachother. And then their clothes turn dark because everything is getting burnt, they are all harming eachother, hate eachother. But yet none understood that it was soobin behind all these... Welp this was my theory. Did you read all that? It took me alot of time to write these all 😭
I love reading TXT lore theories. My theory was similar, because both Tae and Soobin had their fingers crossed in the choreography. But I believed that soobin was actually manipulating Beomgyu too because of the cut from the lemonade he tipped over to Beomgyu falling.

Cysm mv is so well directed with so many hints about there lore. Its one of my favourite mvs from them The lights constantly changing to red, the strawberries representing gore? All of them making a promise thing ?behind their backs during who's the liar part except soobin. This mv really got me intrigued into their lore

You should watch their choreos too, specially their early choreos were so unique, had lots of figures and jumps, lifts, floor I don't how they survive! Now their choreo is less crazy (like crazy crazy) but their technic and forms are even better.
My favorite thing about the music video for CYSM is the subtle animosity between Soobin & Taehyun’s characters throughout it. There’s tension between them and it slowly affects the entire friend group. First off, when they ring the doorbell, Taehyun is more standoffish than the others. The others have open body language and more open expressions, but Taehyun stands sideways, his shoulder to the door, and he visually looks more distant than the others. He doesn’t want to be here like they do. Then, when Beomgyu, Kai, and Yeonjun take selfies, Soobin and Taehyun sit on the floor, a person’s-width between them, and don’t look at each other at _all._ They both look sullen and Taehyun in particular keeps looking the opposite direction from Soobin. This extends to when they “watch TV together” and the 3 guys on the couch are completely engaged whilst Soobin and Taehyun are checked out and tense. We see Soobin’s nerves get slowly worn down throughout the MV, starting with Yeonjun popping his gum. Yeonjun was trying to be playful, but because Soobin is dealing with the tension mulling between him and Taehyun, it irks him. Next off, the lyrics ask, “who’s the liar?” Well, guess what? We know the answer because of the choreography. During that line, in the choreo, Beomgyu, Yeonjun, and Kai are making the pinkie promise sign with their hands while Taehyun and Soobin are crossing their fingers behind their backs. Taehyun and Soobin are the liars. Then, when Soobin pushes the cup off the table, the color of the drink inside the cup matches the lighting in the next scene, when Beomgyu seemingly “smothers” Taehyun. It’s as though this represents Soobin influencing Beomgyu to team up with him against Taehyun/agitate him. We see something similar in the next scene: Taehyun clearly feels isolated now at the table, watching everyone else laugh and get along. Then, like Yeonjun popping Soobin’s gum, Beomgyu playfully throws tomato on Taehyun’s shirt. But like Soobin being annoyed at Yeonjun’s teasing, Taehyun is pissed off by this. And watch everyone’s faces! It goes by quick, but we see: Beomgyu looks to Soobin for approval and smiles, but then realizes Taehyun is upset and awkwardly scratches his head, feeling bad. Yeonjun initially smiles, but then realizes Taehyun is pissed and grows concerned, unsure of what to do. Kai seems distracted or indifferent and either doesn’t notice the anger or ignores it. And Soobin…..stares coldly at the camera (aka Taehyun) and then, in the final shot of the montage, slides his gaze away. During the tomato throwing montage, Taehyun’s become more violent and angry, and we see shots of Soobin feeling isolated and alone beneath the stairs. This cumulates in a sequence where Soobin is being pelted by tomatoes from multiple angles; we see a close up of Taehyun’s mouth falling into a deep frown, and then Soobin screaming, finally reaching his limit. And the entire music video, Kai is outside the conflict, either staying intentionally ignorant or just completely unaware, Yeonjun starts feeling guilty and responsible for keeping the group together, and Beomgyu is being manipulated to be the instigator who “starts the mess.” This is one of my favorite TXT music videos because of the subtle storytelling
