I would love to see more reactions from BOTH of you and my recommend is another Thai BL "Till The World Ends" it gives off really anxiety and very cute scenes between the main characters yall will love it, and the last episode of the series is a must watch because there is a plot twist to it which also made my jaws drop and get up from my bed. Just to say that Bad Buddy is a show that grows with each episode, the beginning seems a little cliche and even a little boring but between ep 04 and 05 things get really interesting and I think you guys will like it

The chemistry of the 2 leads Ohm and Nanon, paired with the genius of the director P'Aof makes it unparalleled! Plus the fact that an actual gay man directed it makes all the more relatable. Oh wow Bad Buddy!!!🔥❤....I never thought I'll see you react to this 😆😱 *I'm SO excited!* 💕 Also It's fun to see how other people react to Thai's BLs and its editing.😆 I honestly am SO USED to it that when I watch a Non-Thai series (especially if it's a comedy) It's weird to NOT have those sounds and effects. I LOVE THEM. I think they help the viewer understand the characters and the mood better.

edit: Okay so I'll try to explain and answer some of your questions since at the beginning this series is kind of messy:
1-What i love abt this series is how it's "told". It's almost backward. Like they dropped us in the middle of the action and now we need to go back and see how we ended up here. So for that, there will be quite some flashbacks to their high school years and childhood to explain things and their relationship. Every episode we'll get these and with each episode, the plot will start to make more and more sense. It's really cool!
2- Basically their families are enemies so of course if the parents hate each other they thought their kids to hate each other too so when I start watching this first time I never really considered them enemies bcs they didn't really have a choice, their parents planted all their hatred for each other. Oh and as if their families hating each other wasn't enough even their faculties are rivals, the 2 faculties had beef for YEARS even back when Pat's dad was in Uni (Pat-> Engineering and Pran-> Architecture)
3- Pat's friends actually wanted to beat Wai (Pran's friend) since he was the one that started this (uploaded the fight and all that). So their plan was for Pat to keep a close eye on Pran (Pran is the better fighter in his group) while Pat friends beat up Wai when he would be alone without Pran. But Pat lost Pran and the friend confused Pran with Wai bcs they both look alike from the back with their uniforms and all. This is why Pat hurried up and saved Pran. In fact, you can see from the very beginning that Pat and Pran didn't really want to fight FIGHT but they did it for their friends.
4- The ):) sign will be Pran's thing and smilings face is his thing (his room is full of different smiley faces both home and dormitory) and they will use that ):) sign in the future to let us know Pran's mood. You'll see, it's very cute!
5. And just as someone already mentioned in the comments already you can upload full version of the episodes. You can complete the form from GMMTV and send the video to them. I personally LOVE longer reactions, and I would especially love to see your bcs I really like your take on the other series you've reacted and I REALLY do like BadBuddy and since it's also your first "contact" with the Thai series. I would love to see you react to full episodes. And I'm sure I',m the only one, a lot of fans enjoy longer reactions since it gives us more of your thoughts abt the series 😆😊🙏

But let me remind you guys, bad buddy genre is ROMANCE COMEDY, so maybe you will find it a little weird if you watch it right after skam or young royal because it’s not as realistic as both shows, I mean you will get funny sound effects, product sponsor and cliche storyline, but the chemistry of the two actors is on point and that makes the show worth to watch. Both ohm and nanon ( the actors) are great actors, and they are really close in real life. Hope you guys enjoy it :)

I'm really glad you guys are checking this show out. It's one of the best BLs out there. It's even won awards already. The acting is incredible, The messages are beautiful and the relationship between Pat and Pran is one of the most healthy and realistic I have seen on screen. Look forward to seeing how you guys get through this. The advertising in Thai and Asian shows can take a lttle getting used to but this director is pretty great at making it seem just part of the show.

I like probably everyone else was pleasantly surprised to see that you’ve decided to react to this. I don’t know if you plan to actually dive into the world of Asian BL dramas or not but this is a great one to start on
When I heard you were going to react to this, I started watching it and ended up binging the whole thing on a weekend. Yes, it's kind of goofy with all the slide whistle sound effects, and product placement, but the scenes that matter are so well done! (Like the scene at 17:01 where they transition from the intense chase music into the very slow "True North" by Trevor Kowalski ...) I can't wait for you to see the rest of it! (No spoilers here!)
P.S. Something I only just noticed: Unless I'm mistaken, the cashier at the store is actually played by the director of the series.

As for the sound effects and editing, it’s pretty normal in Asian shows. You’ll get used to them once you watch more.

Oh my god WHAAAAT??? I never in a million years imagined YOU TWO would react to a Thai series! But I'm so glad you are, especially because it's Bad Buddy of all series. I found your channel back when you did Young Royals and have loved your videos ever since. I've gotten into the world of Thai series only very recently and when I first started watching Bad Buddy it also took me an episode or two to get used to the style because as you've noticed it _is_ pretty different to Western series (which is most of what I'd been watching before). But once I got used to it, I absolutely fell in love with it and am currently watching several Thai series. xD To help you understand better, what I've learned is that the whole "Architecture vs. Engineering" thing is apparently common in Thailand (not to the extreme extent as it is in the series, where they physically fight each other lmao, but the two faculties do tend to have a rivalry going at Thai universities), so keep that in mind. Also, fun fact: that pharmacist who told Pat they were out of the creme is the director of the series. 🙂 Anyways, I'm very much looking forward to seeing the rest of your reactions to this series. I think you're going to end up loving it. (I liked the first eps, but it's around eps 3, 4 and ESPECIALLY 5 that the series gets soooo good, it only went up for me from there.)
Also, this mock thing with sounds effects and dramatic scenes is very characteristic of Asia series, is their way. This is a Romcom so they keep some random stuff to make it funny. And about their fights, in Asia the honor thing really matter, one offense is never just a offense is always about respect. So there is a lot of fight that for us maybe does not make sense, but for them it is about their honor itself and they have to defend it...

Oh a little cultural background explanation on why the 2 "gangs" are always fighting. Apparently in Thailand engineering (Pat's department) and architecture (Pran's department) have always been rivals, in almost every campus in the country the two departments are always at loggerheads. The "on sight" mentality isn't actually unique to the show, it's representative of what usually happens in most universities there. That's why pat and pran call themselves "fated rivals" cuz their parents were enemies, their departments rivals, it seems they were just never meant to be (or were they? 😏)

I have watched more than 20 bl series and Bad Buddy is the best of them all. The love, the chemistry that ohmnanon have was absolutely brilliant. I totally understand how you feel about sound effects lmao, they also threw me in for a loop when i started watching thai bls 3yrs ago but i promise you in this show in particular, you will eventually come to love them. Little fun fact (i don't know if anyone told you guys this), the pharmacist is actually the director of the series, he usually makes cameos in his shows!! i am very glad you guys started this drama, it is so fun and they have an actually really healthy relationship, which unfortunately is not always very common in asian bls
AAAAAAAAAA I am so happy you decided to react to Bad Buddy! It's such a feel-good drama and yeah the sound effects are kind of a surprise when you first watch thai bl dramas but it's handled so well in this case. It's just your feel-good cliché romcom and I love it. Also Bad Buddy was directed by an actual gay man and it's so delightfully queer like... you guys are in for a treat on that one!
Also I just realized something quite significant about the first episode, like they're not in sync musically speaking when they meet again but gradually they harmonize and towards the end are able to play together smoothly and seamlessly. I love the symbolism.
Starting from EP 3 it's really amazing ! Like you're going to love them ! The characters are really interesting ! It's a great way to start Asian BL because it's a bit more tame in term of comedy than most of them !! Also Nanon and Ohm (the two main actors) are best friends in real life so their chemistry is extraordinary.

Omg, you guys! I just finished watching this series and now you're starting??! This is kind of surreal. I hope you love it as much as I did, because honestly it's one of my absolutely favorites in general! From Thai BL series this is definitely the best one, with great acting, great storyline and good representation of a queer relationship. They're the cutest couple and they make me want to fall in love for the first time again. :3

Pat told the gang to beat them up bc he needs to keep the image of this gang leader bc it'd be weird if he suddenly didn't wanna fight anymore. His friends would probably not give a damn and keep fighting. Also the more ppl know they don't hate each other that much and that they actually know each other the more probability there is of their parents finding out and that would be NOT GOOD. Pran was already sent away for three years in the past bc of this.
Pat only needs to protect pran bc of what he promised his sis so when his friends find pran and wanna beat him up alone he needs to help him. He only intended his friends to go after the other people not pran. That's also why later pat says "I'm the only one who can touch him" bc he's actually gna fake beat him up.

It is! But with smarter Romeos! 😂 Hands down one of the best thai bl out there. The lead actors are phenomenal. In some reactions (yes, the actors and the director react to some of the episodes lol), they described bad buddy as an ordinary but extraordinary story. The plot isn’t so special but there is something about it that makes it special. To me, I think the actors are just really good.

Well this is super exciting!!! 🌈 I hope you love BB, it's a very fun show and actually has some real nice commentary about the LGBTQ+ community, unlike many other BL series. The director of BB is very talented and brings a lot of queer awareness from his experience of being an out gay man. I highly recommend any of his other work... like "Tale of a Thousand Stars".
Have fun learning about Thailand culture, as well as their unique film styles. If you are interested in Social Justice Issues... I also rec "Not Me" (also from GMMtv) that is currently airing.
FYI - Thailand lost their fight for Equal Marriage & Gay Rights a couple months ago, it was devastating, so jokes about "just get married already" do not land well, as you can imagine. 😭 So we stand in solidarity with those still fighting the fight and hope that things will change in the future. 🏳🌈
This series is one of the best, if not the best Thai bl series. Nanon Korapat and Ohm Pawat are extremely good actors. In the last weeks and months every episode was highly awaited. P'Aof the director is one of a kind. The series "A tale of a 1000 stars" is also something different and beautiful. Watch out for the outstanding acting and storytelling in "Bad Buddy"... Have a lot fun watching it.
Wow I never imagined people to react to bad buddy the series or just a Thai drama in general .I've watched many thai dramas especially BL and I can confidently say bad buddy is the best thai drama I have ever watched till now .The actors, chemistry, the fact that they stepped out of the mold that the bl industry put for them , the mood , the story, the beauty of actin- everything was perfect to me.Good watching , hope all new watchers enjoy it as much as we did

Oh my goodness! I’m so happy my fave channel is reacting to my favourite Thai series. Like some of the other comments I actually lost interest after episode 1 and didn’t come back to it for a couple weeks but when I caught up I was losing my mind over how fantastic this is. It’s got a lot of the Thai drama cliches that you get used to as a fan of the genre, but this series surprisingly ends up turning a lot of those cliches on their head and it makes it so special. Also it’s just the best chemistry of all time. I can’t wait to see your journey with this drama!

Backaof Noppharnach Chaiwimol touches are gold! He's exceptional at his craft. Writing OST is very common in Thai BLs. Nanon is actually singing. I personally loved this one, it had a lot of success, but the hugest series so far is SOTUS. This is really like THE ONE. It's a bit old but it's worth to watch. All Thailand bl' s fans love it. I really love the weird English nicknames they have for their actors: Earth, Perth, Drake, Fluke, Sing, Win, Bright, ....

BL is definitely maturing, Ohm & Nanon (Pat and Pran) worked so so hard with these roles, did a brilliant job. Totally believable as you'll see as you get on through the series.
