- On our second episode of our River Cruise vlog with Avalon Waterways we set sail up the Rhine river to the beautiful town of Rudesheim. Located in the Rhine Valley it's a great place to visit one of the local Vineyards. On this river cruise vlog on the Avalon Panorama we head into the town to do some sightseeing after cruising down the Rhine river.

We are just home from an eight day river cruise on Uniworld’s river Duchess we were the only European couple on board, apart for a few Antipodeans, 95% of the passengers were from the USA so it’s very much an American thing. ☘️🇺🇸

I just got back from an 8 day Rhine Getaway cruise on Viking. My husband and I LOVED it! I dont think I will ever do an ocean cruise again! It was that great! I lived Rudesheim. We did not get a chance to do the sky lift. Can't wait to see your next episode!

Oh no... not the cable car. That would terrify me. But that's just me. The rest of the cruise and the ship looks amazing and so much fun. Also so very relaxing. :)
Planning back to back river cruises for 2025, first the Viking Grand European tour on both the Rhine and Danube rivers then join the Viking British Isles tour. May as well take a good month after having to fly so far from Australia.

As for the headset, why do you need them? Are they for tour guide translations?
They are so you can hear your guide as you walk around. We didn't always need them just when it was larger groups.

Oh wow this type of cruising looks so relaxing and the food is fabulous . I would love to try a river cruise but as I’m in a wheelchair, I’m not sure if I could join in on the excursions ? Did u see any disabled passengers by any chance ?!
