    But this circuit cann't do an amplification, it just do the switching, where the main role of a transistor is to amplify signals .

      You are wrong... If you hange R you can make amplificaion i done it 20 years ago. it works but for low freq and low power. You need to drive LED with some point that it start to emmit light and modulate it with signal, u wiil get hange in output signal.
      But this HINDU gyu just did not show it prabobly no money for generator and oscilloscope.

      @@marcinwitkowski2981 It might work to amplifie a low power, but you would need a high supply voltage, since even if it is "on" it will still have a high resistance (probably around a few hundred ohms).

      @@messaadsaid6935 Marcin Witkowski is wrong. It's still an opto-coupler, not a transistor. An opto-coupler can amplify a signal, which doesn't make it a transistor. A thermionic valve can amplify a signal and isn't a transistor.

    The title of this video is misleading. What you've made is an opto-coupler, with an LDR and laser diode, not a transistor. It has completely different electrical characteristics, compared to a transistor, be it BJT, J-FET, or MOSFET. If you didn't connect one side of the LDR to the laser, it would have the advantage of isolating the control, from the signal being switched.

      @@marcinwitkowski2981 No, that doesn't make it a transistor. It's still an opto-coupler. An opto-coupler can amplify a signal, which I didn't dispute. The title of the video is still wrong. It's an opto-coupler, not a transistor. They're very different components, with different characteristics..

    Tranzystory nie tylko przełączają. Mają też wzmocnienie. W układach wzmacniaczy, czy generatorów to się nie sprawdzi. Bo to nie prawda. Równie dobrze można powiedzieć że to przekaźnik elektroniczny

      Jesteś w błędzie bo sam słuchałeś takiego wzmacniacza mimo że o tym nie wiedziałeś. To bardzo stary układ w Telekomunikacji, wadą i jednocześnie zaletą jest ograniczenie pasma nie potrzeba żadnych dodotkowych filtrów. zmiany rezystancji powodują wzmocnienie, natomiast trzeba zrbic prad driwerowy diody i modulować ją sygnałem wejściowym.

    It is an optocoupler in one of many connection variants. This does not replace the transistor. The headline is false. Replacement of the transistor is possible with old ELECTRONIC LAMPS with the appropriate "infrastructure", or special interconnection of non-transistor semiconductors.

    Yaptığınız transistör değil. Optokuplör denilebilir. Transistörün anahtarlama olarak kullanılmasından ziyade bir amacı da akım yükseltmektir. Sizin yaptığınız ise sadece anahtarlama. Akım yükseltme yapamaz sizin yaptığınız.

    Transistör değilde keşke optokuplör olarak lanse etseydin. Daha doğru yaklaşım olabilirdi. Konuya hakim olmayanlara transistör yanlış anlatılmış oldu. Birde evde kaç kişide lazer var ki...

    Miskeading vedio. It is an opto coupler device, its not a transistor. A transistor has the characteristics of amplifying signals. Transistor is a semi conductor component that has a p and n junctions respectively to their polarity.

    Its not a transistor but a light activated switch the laser shinining on the ldr decreases its resistance and conducts more ,turning on the led

    It's useful if you are in the middle of nowhere and need transistor so bad. Otherwise, buy a transistor from electronic store. FAR CHEAPER than laser alone.

      No, It can't be used for that, since this is not a transistor. It is just a really crappy optocoupler that never fully turns off.

      @@MHJKE3S It could maybe be used to amplifie low powers but with big losses and a need for a high supply voltage. (The lower the supply voltage, the more losses and a lower amplifiable power, the higher the supply voltage =less losses and the "higher" the amplifiable power.)
      But just buy a normal transistor, they are a lot better and cheaper than this thing.
