Stevie Williams Love Park Interview

Stevie Williams is, admittedly, a dirty ghetto kid. In the nineties Stevie and his friends ruled Philadelphia's Love Park with an iron fist. It was not uncommon for visiting skateboarders to get beat up or have their skateboards stolen for not abiding by the unspoken laws of the park.
That was 20 years ago.
These days Stevie Williams has over 15 years as a fine, upstanding professional skateboarder under his belt.
I was lucky enough to catch up with Stevie at the plaza he made famous decades ago to talk about some of the more colorful stories from his younger days like people getting their ears bitten off and dumping piss on others or tricking people to drink piss as well as the origin to the name of his DGK brand.
