Garden Hack: Drip irrigation with a water bottle

That is actually a super trick, I too using this from about more than ten years,, and I grown a lot of plants to trees with this drip technique. And even today I feel amazed that how in drip irrigation with bottle, water turns into a magical liquide, plants grows so big and fast. 👍👍

It depends on the size of the holes in the lid, but with mine, a 1/2 liter bottle -takes about 20 minutes to drain completely.

Yes. I use the same basic setup for a 25 gal pot using a 2 liter bottle instead of a 1/2 liter.

Yes!. The drip is slow so the water will spread through the soil instead of pouring out the bottom and leaving dry spots.

I'd rather use glass bottles. We don't need plastic in the garden. Who knows what is diffusing out of those bottles imto the soil. PFA's at least.

I think it's Great! Saves our waterways, and i pickup plastic bottle litter everyday.
