Great musicians playing my favourite bossa nova music by Luis Bonfa
With all the madness in the world today , i sit down and listen to this,..life gets better,...music for the soul, thankyou John and Al, God Bless !
I recall seeing Al in early 70’s, the No Mystery tour, @ Carnegie Hall. When they played the title song, everyone plays a solo but Al got a standing ovation. Shows people have class. He played that ovation like, well, say, the way a lover pleases their partner. Sweet
...John McLaughlin is the...Best of the Best !!!
There's John McLaughlin, Jan Akkerman, and Lee Ritenour
Two great masters play some of the most beautiful music ever composed, together.❤😑
It's so nice to see John and Al in this setting. It seems at this moment that forgot about the problems that were going on and even managed to smile at each other. These guys will probably never play together as the trio again.
God, if i could play guitar like that i would die a happy man ! Incredible...
oh man, when Dimeola started to play the solo I got shivers running down my spine..this guy's deeeep)))
I thought I'd seen all of them but just ran across this ...beautiful !! I love them both !
McLaughlin FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you John and Al
Sublime escuchar la musica que interpreta al di meola
I love this sound!It's genious!
Luís Bonfá's Classic song, with original lyrics by Antônio Maria.
Astonishingly beautiful.
Sublime totalmente. Gracias a estos dos maestros por crear belleza.
Meola very sweet;-)
Falta el Maestro Paco de Lucia ❤
Di Meola's guitar here sounds so much better than the Ovations he usually plays.
ovation sounds bad
@@adirsab They suck.
Grandiosoo!!!
Incrível!
best solo seen Al do!!!
John McLaughlin is the only non flamenco guitarist who sounds like a real flamenco guitarist whe he plays the acoustic guitar.
Its a thing of beauty
BRAVISSIMOOOOOOO
when al di changed the ovation for the hermanos condes guitar :`)
Great!
I guess if you cannot play with your right hand fingers you end up like these two...
Both great, but my opinion is; Meola plays for more "easy listeners" , Mclauglin's emprovise lines for more saturated ears .
The two best guitarists in the world?
Bireli Lagrenne
The two best guitarists in the world are Jan Akkerman and Lee Ritenour... with John McLaughlin a close third.
Compared to John, Al's playing on melody is sweeter and cleaner, an important aspect for this kind of song.
At 3:21 what magic trick does he do and the pick appears in his hand???
he keeps it in his guitar where the chords are fixed, I may be wrong but I seen many guitar players doing that, and remember these videos are somewhat edited
@daelalbuquerque está entendida tu corrección pero hay teclados que no tiene el signo, será por eso que fue así escrito...
anyone know what pickup system John is using in his guitar on this?

where's Paco de Lucia? I heard that the play they performed Trio
there is no wrong notes when you're improvising.
@daelalbuquerque
Done ! Greetz

3:31...start
Se le hecha de menos a Paco de Lucia.
Definitivo. La música es el lenguaje que usa el Hombre para comunicarse con DIOS... es es escuchado...
what chords are they playing?
Not some basics pop chords that you can easily figure out and write that on internet
Get yourself a real-book.. I bet it's in there.
during this tour big tensions appeared between al and the 2 others ! that the reason why he plays in this uncommon way ( for him) ....
Can you explain what happened? I'm very interested in hearing about that because I could always tell there was tension between Al and John and this goes way back to the days of the live San Fran album but I never read any definitive material on that or ever heard either of the musicians say anything bad about the other. It's very interesting, though. Please do tell.
al was not a cool guy and he had bad words about john 's playing ( and paco ) course and as a result he played slowler than this fans was expected to hear him played ( sorry i m french )
3Ellipse No worries I understand fine. Votre Englais est tres bien. :) Can I ask you where you heard of that? Was it published in some kind of literature or newspaper or something because I can't find anything anywhere and I've been looking. I know Paco and John were always joking around especially during the press conferences and during interviews while Al was always very serious and maybe that had something to do with it. But I find it hard to believe that Al would say something bad about Paco's, or even John's playing for that matter. These are musicians of the highest order, one would think they have nothing but the utmost respect for one another.
hey long time ago i guess in guitar magazine in the late nineties try google if you want to know more about it!
3Ellipse Yes, I googled and binged and tweeted and poked and found nothing. But thanks anyway.
Where Paco? ¿Donde Paco?
