when you're saying chords like 'G over C' and 'G# over E' what you really should be saying is 'C over G' and 'E over G#'. the way those chords are written is C/G and E/G#. the second note in those notations is the bass note, which is why you say 'C over G' when it's a C chord with a G bass, the C chord is higher (over) the bass note. your note choices for this song seem mostly accurate though and this is a cool tutorial! i'm a pianist and i just realized that from a guitarists perspective, the bass note is (above) the rest of the chord you're playing, so it makes sense from that perspective to say it that way. either way, that's how most people talk about chords, a C chord with a G in the bass is called a C over G
