- Hey whats up fam! Today's video is on replacing the knock sensor on the civic. Knock sensor was giving me issues like going past 40miles so i had it to get replaced. Tough job to do so you better have a day off.
Where to buy: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00NIK... Авто/Мото
Important P0325 is the knock sensor code but dont buy a cheap one, or any aftermarket one go to he junkyard and get an OEM TRUST ME
Absolutely Right!!! I learned the hard way! 😂
@@Lastk1ng2387 100% agree the $15 dollar amazon sensor lasted about 3 weeks. I'm a gambling man and got an oem from the junkyard for 5 bucks. A year later and still going. (180 at the honda dealer)
What's the part number ?
What about one from auto zone?
Thanks bud, this video was very helpful!!
Awesome video!!!
What tools did you use besides the deep socket?
Wonderful video
Awesome vid thanks bro
Have same problema con el 98 honda prelude. Gonna remove 1st to make sure the 27mm deep socket fits. Then I will order. Paz y salud from hamden,ct
Perfect, thanks bro
Awesome thanks 😊
Thanks for the video, was able to change it! Just a question does anyone know if once changing it check engine light go again eventually ?
disconnect then reconnect the negative terminal on your battery. that resets the ecu
I need to have my knock sensor replaced for a 1999 Honda Civic EX VTEC. Is the choice of which KS to get based on your engine or does it matter? Please advice. Thank you.
Two months and no response?
Sir i have this problem on my 1997 honda civic Vtec, everytine i reached 3k rpm check engine indecator pop/show...then if i swirtch the car off and turn it on the check engine light disappear 😢😢😢
What happens if the check engine light comes back on when you replaced it is it because of a faulty sensor or should i buy it from the honda dealership
Sadly these aftermarket knock sensors tend to not go well with Honda.. You'll most likely need original.. I will say this. The sensor hasn't came back. And the civic passed smog.
what was the issue or why did you replaced it? i also have knock sensor code. my acceleration gives me major whiplash. lol.
Hey whats up well you know I'm not too certain because i was having acceleration issues but i found out that it was the cables and plugs but it had that code during that situation. Thought i replace it and make a vid lol. Once the code cleared up it passed CA smog which is a hassle for older vehicles. Do you make any vids? I'll gladly watch if you do. 👍
Ty bro!!!!
Ablas español amigo como se desconecta el censor de precion de aceite el mio se me quebró del plastico
Good to know that knock sensor is good I just got one on amazon for 10 bucks I think
To this day it still on and working. No check engine light. 👍👍
@jefferson j morals no way bro I am going to have to order 1 or 2
@@JeffersonJosueMorales89 I am still waiting on mine been driving on a check engine for a couple days now and it needs to get fixed asap
I already tried one cheap knock sensor from eBay. Didn’t work. How is this one holding up??? Because I don’t want to spend $200. Thanks!
I feel you bro..it's been holding up pretty good. Since that day of the video no check engine light at all. Thankfully.
Jefferson J Morales Ok. I’ll give the autex and go. Thanks bro
Wonder if you could just take off the manifold?
Yes you can!
Jefferson J Morales do you think it’d be easier?
@@Paniniadvocate Maybe...but the reason I did it from the bottom is because I was doing an oil change as well. It's easy if you have long arms. I have short arms sadly lol 😅
I just bought one from eBay and now I’m reading a lot of reviews saying aftermarket ones are no good. I’ll be back in a week to let you guys know if it was any good Incase it helps anybody
I got mine from Amazon and still works good
Jefferson J Morales Oh alright thanks
Did it work good??
javier 600 Never got to install it car blew up soon after I commented that....
@@secomartinez1😅😂
I want this m from pakistan can you ship
I think I need a knock sensor because I'm having same problem code p1259
Replace it. Let me know if that fixes your code. The one I bought on Amazon worked fine for me but obviously original is a 100xs better.
Ok so u just unscrew and change it dont have to put it at tdc or anything
Dont have to remove the filter
Is there an easier way to do it?
