I've been to Bantayan, Samal, Davao & Moalboal over the Christmas Holidays & hated to leave. I was treated so well by smiling Filipinos that added to the feeling of being in a tropical paradise. Go with an open heart & kindness & the Filipinos will repay your efforts 10x over.
ur funny,,,,in the short run,,but in the long run you will change your mind. You are nothing but a walking ATM machine, nothing more. They are not as welcoming and nice when u get to know them, they have their own motives for survival.

You should show more details of the places that you are talking about. Viewers can hear you talk, they don’t need to see you talk at all times, but they need to see more of what’s available in the places that you are presenting.
Wow, this is the best video of its kind that I have seen. Or perhaps I should say that your recommendations appeal to me more than those of other people. And your presentation is so professional and articulate. You seem more educated and worldly wise than most others. Early next year I’ll use your list as my exploratory itinerary. Thank you so much.
We have a home(it's my wife's home she grew up in) and it's in a seaside town in Iligan City. It's crowded and noisy but it's her home that we have remodeled and made comfortable. Honestly I don’t really want to retire there and have told my wife I want a less crowded area that has nice shore of clean sand and clean sea. Thanks for your list!
Iligan is a nice university town too :) don't know much about the beaches there but there were a lot of freshwater pools as I recalled, having lived there for 2 months for my summer plant practice at National Steel! Good luck with your retirement house hunt!
@@roadtoretirement yes that steel plant has been closed for many years and that’s good. My wife is too young to remember but her elders tell me it polluted the air and water when it was active. So bad that you see the black smoke.
Negros a sock shape island best places is the southern corridor from Dumaguete city up to Cauayan, Occ. side facing one of the best diving spot of world,Tubbattaha reef is a good retirement place for a beach front, love to set my foot on it, Sipalay city
Thank you for this list. It would’ve been very helpful though to have shown geographical map locations on each description for those of us who are not as familiar with the names of the cities and provinces. Visual references such as screen clips of Google Maps would’ve have saved me from having to look up map locations for context.
I like your vlogs, but you recorded with low volume and I have a cheap Android fone, so I struggle to hear you. Thank you for the Great info, though. 👍
Hi @kellymoyes2517 , there will be golf clubs in San Vicente Palawan once the big township planned by Megaworld kicks in 10-15 years. Subic Bay has existing good golf clubs. La Union has Thunderbird. Samal also has a golf course. :) Hope that helps
Thunderbird Resort and Casino in San Fernando City, La Union and dubbed as "Santorini of Asia". The place has always been a shooting locations for Filipino Movie/ Tv series. They have also a golf club and other amenities.
Popular "cold weather" locations are Baguio and Tagaytay. They are both pretty crowded especially when local tourists come in but they have their surrounding areas that you can retire to (eg for Tagaytay - Amadeo or Silang in Cavite). Good luck!
I think as a retiree the access to good medical is very important, being married to a panay she always reminds me that at our age medical is very important??
San Fernando? That beach is so polluted I would never swim ther. All the sewage from the big city goes out to the ocean. In fact any beach near a built up area will be polluted because very few areas in the Philippines have any sewage treatment.
@@deanoakes4404 The beaches that I mentioned in San Fernando City, La Union are touristy areas and they have sewerage treatment plant. San Fernando City is just recently included as one of the safest cities in the Philippines (rank 7). Nearby town, San Juan, La Union is the Surfing Capital of the North and it has also sewerage system. Nice video! We will retire to Batangas. I would also add Puerto Galera in Mindoro.

Chardonnay with steak? I'll leave that for seafood and pasta. I'll stick with my red wine for steaks
