    Another entertaining Video Chris 😉 Yep I’ve learnt by watching your video that I don’t play around with Amigas 🤣🤣😂👍🏻 But seriously I’m like you I get the urge to see if something I had working before then stops working will work again. Sometimes not all the time I have had miracles happen. Again it’s the fun ownership we Amiga owners go through and one where you get to learn a thing or two. Just got a weird problem where I think I’ve discovered a problem where the floppy drive is the cause. Basically I kept loosing picture now and again only to discover it doesn’t happen when the Floppy drive is plugged in. Go figure 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Not sure why your supra28 is dead,but bubble wrap is the absolute most static containing stuff ever. I feel your pain having assembled everything just to remember you forgot to plug something in..haha so many times!

    • @ChrisEdwardsRestoration

      its anti static bubble wrap. but who knows. if you saw any of my shelves of $#it, you would be like. oh yeah. thats prob why. lol

    Never worked with Amiga hardware in person, but at a glance edge connector looks like it might be an AMP 1-67015-9 86 Pin Wire Wrap Socket Card Edge Connector. For the finger board on the opposite side you could probably just cut whatever you can get to size, or use the same one if it's still in decent shape.

      Thank you! I just could not figure out what in the heck it was called, a card edge connector... now i have to find an Amiga cpu socket sized one...

    You could probably get an edge connector from pcbway or somewhere like it. The kicad might already be out there somewhere.

    Saw a Jan Beta video today, he also screws around with old hardware. He mentioned these old IC's
    are prone to ESD "electrostatic tits up". I believe you have putt effort and heart into these machines
    you could have a ESD strap even on your foot ankle. I never had these before butt this hardware is
    getting very rare. I will consider to tie myself up to a ground next time I fiddle around my machine.
    Just a thought i wonted to share. Cheers and as always thumb up :).

      He always has a ESD strap on his ankle, he just hardly mentions it.

    Hello, I have an Amiga 2000 like you with a V500 vampire in gold version 2.13 (x11) with coffin os R58. Which gold version are you using and which version of coffins or other system are you using on your amiga 2000. I follow all your videos.

    • @ChrisEdwardsRestoration
      @ChrisEdwardsRestoration  3 года назад

      Thanks!, my vamp is 2.1.2 x12 as its the most stable for me. i run coffin R54, the others dont really add much and i have mine all loaded the way i like it, the other 15 amigas run various versions from 1.3 through 3.2, although most of my main on screen machines are now all 3.2 with RTG or flicker fixers and pistorms.

    Doesn't the Supra Turbo require the regular 68000 CPU to be in the CPU socket?

    • @ChrisEdwardsRestoration
      @ChrisEdwardsRestoration  3 года назад

      yes i put it in there, just was not in the edit. you can see it re inserted to the cpu riser card once i just show the rom screen on the right side.

    • @ChrisEdwardsRestoration
      @ChrisEdwardsRestoration  3 года назад

      i only have 6 so im keeping them just in case. you can purchase them on Ebooger like i did. have you tried cleaning them up like i did. you would be suprised what it can do... might save you 50$

    • @rjd324
      @rjd324 3 года назад +1

      @@ChrisEdwardsRestoration I just did that and bought them. I must have using the wrong search terms before. I cleaned them up, rebent them rw soldered them did everything. They all are perfect. Then, there was one that was misbehaving and I got around to opening the kb back up and just ended up butchering it beyond repair. Regardless, problem solved. Got some on the way.
