Travelling around Thailand in Chiangai mai at the moment. another month or so. looking for a place in Thailand to live with my Thai Girlfriend Saranya. take care. David
6:38 Mable drop sound come from the incident called water hammer. When someone from other rooms open and closed water tap, The water stream in pipe will surge and generate sound propagated along the pipe like marble drop on the floor
This was the first vlog I've actually enjoyed and it was informative of how it actually looks at these places vs the stylized drone shots of some other channels. Planning a visit and this was really useful
This video was awesome! I'm planning to solo travel to Phuket soon. Fun fact: there is a Chinese belief that when you hear marbles dropping in the middle of the night, it means the place is haunted. The marbles are placed in between each level of the building to entertain "ghost children" so they'll play with the marbles instead of bothering you while you rest.
Phuket has an old town. There are flea markets in Phuket old town, lakes, waterfalls, beaches, amusement parks, shopping malls. There is a place for nightlife Take a motorbike around the island, Parks , There is a wide variety of Michelin-starred restaurants. At Mai Khao Beach to watch the plane landing and Laem Phromthep to see the sunset in the evening
These are just some of the things I can think of, in fact there are more. This place used to be second only to Chiang Mai where there are many Nomads and expatriate retirees. Because there are beautiful and unique cafes. Plus there is free internet and high speed. And many kinds of delicious local food here can't be found anywhere else in Thailand. ruclips.net/video/41qnRkWIK68/видео.html ruclips.net/video/EyESvytgRDg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/UUT5QIgkCto/видео.html
I'm going to Phuket next month, glad to see some fresh new content about this place heheh! Im from Singapore!! Excited as this is gonna my first fully solo trip and im going to Kata Beach specifically for 6 nights! hahhaha
Hi I’ve just come back from Phuket.. steer clear of the taxi drivers they will rip you off… download ID driver and you will pay actual price for travelling… for example from my hotel to patong its like 2 miles and they were charging me 300-400 baht… where as ID driver rate was between 90-120 baht
@@shesyahh it was my first time in Thailand.. but from what I here from the locals its a lot quieter than usual. But I still think it was fairly busy but nothing overwhelming, more of a nice busy
Welcome to Thailand:) Don’t forget to visit Full Moon party in Pha Ngan island, and Railay beach in Krabi….. lots of beautiful places in south of Thailand.
Hi guys. The marina hotel is a wonderful hotel with the most friendly staff I stayed there in 2019 for 6days . An it's a close walk to shops , Bangla etc. My heart is phuket. Have a fabulous time.
Phuket looks beautiful. Never been there but I have a retired co-worker who lives there. He has recorded two records and lives on the beach. He’s living the life in my opinion.
try to stay in the Base central Phuket, just beside the shoping mall, that is very good location, and find the AirBnb accomodation inside the Base Condo. recomeded place for sure. easy go to anywhere.
We stayed at Safari hotel beautiful in Patong beach 10 years ago now wow. If you go back to the nightlife there, pls try to find a bar called Marley bar (bob) we were there every night low key hanging with some cool locals all bob marley obsessed. I remember we bought them a handmade wooden frame and put a very unique bob marley pic in it for their wall. They were over the moon. I wonder if it still exists 🙏
Coming back to Thailand in 3 weeks time and will start in Phuket, thanks for your video as it gave me a good impression of what to expect post-rona. Look forward to seeing your video from Kata beach!
Thanks for your input. Kata beach looks awesome, I've never been that far south. Patong Beach is the absolute best place to keep away from, reminds me of Kuta. Unless, of course, you just want the booze and girls. All the beaches north of Patong are also glorious, with a small town feel and fantastic street food.
Australia-heading back to Patong for 5th time in a couple of weeks for dental treatment. Was surprised how inexpensive the accommodation is. Spending a week in Karon and a week in Patong. Loved your video. Yes Kata is the best
Great vidio having surgery then heading there for a month two weeks there two weeks Pattaya this was a short vidio but covered enough to say I can't wait . Keep up the great work and keep enjoying life .and I subscribed 👍
I recommend you to stay at Le Meridian Phuket beach resort it's 5 stars hotel that have a most beautiful beach in Phuket call Had Karon Noi is super beautiful and private beach a cost around $100 (3300 Baht) / night but worth it.
There is a hotel near Bangla Road and the Jung Ceylon Mall called Sleep With Me, which is not what you might think. It's very PG. Regardless it was excellent, with excellent food and breakfasts in the restaurant included in the price. It was in your range. Just in case you'd like a new location at some point. Clean and quiet and two blocks from the beach too. Having a decent hotel made my trip to Phuket a real proper experience.
I was in Marina Phuket Hotel 17 days in November. Nice to see you like it as well 😃 Maybelles Coffee Garden i can recommend. And Big Buddha and Phuket Old town 🤙
Great stuff! Always enjoy watching your videos. Chiang Mai airport had the double security check back in 2016 as well. Keep up the great work and you'll certainly achieve your goal.
Hey Mandy, just a suggestion for your allergies. I have the same problem with cats. If I forget to wash my hands and touch my eyes, they go crazy. If you haven't already tried them, get some antihistamine eye drops. All the major over the counter brands like Visine and Bausch and Lomb make them. That itchiness you're experiencing will disappear in seconds. Loving the video. It's helping with my November planning. I'm in Surrey BC. Where are you from?
Good job guys covering Phuket. I don’t think you have to leave your passport when you rent. They should take a copy of it. Let me know if they give you problems next time.
Hi Mandy and Lloyd, I’m planning my first trip to Thailand and love your videos. What airline did you fly on to Phuket and about how much does it cost?
lloyed seems in a awsome mood since he left bali!!!bin smiling alot!!!u guys r osum!!!EAMON & BEC having a bit of a rough patch!!wish them good luck!!but u guys are my go to now!!!rock on!!!!
I've never given my passport to rent a scooter. Either they can have a photocopy or a cash deposit or I will find somewhere else. Just not worth the risk that they will come up with additional damages that already existed (even having photos/video from when you rented doesn't always help) and hold your passport demanding extra money.
Bangkok was to big for me with big city ways. I haven’t really explored Thailand, been in the north east part, at a small village in the country. Visited a friend from America about 5 years ago. I really want to visit Chang Mai though.
G'day from Pete and Jules! love your channel and really enjoy your vids - we haven't been to Phuket for years but really thought Paradise beach was a cool little hidden gem so it may be worth a visit whilst your both in the area. It's just a tad south of Patong beach. Good luck with your 100k subs you'll rip it in!!!
Wow, awesome video, thank you! Hubby and I are heading to Phuket in Aug for my belated 40th birthday that Covid ruined in 2020....we're splitting our time between Patong & Kata so this vlog has helped us immensely! Heading off to watch more of your vlogs now ;-)
Hard for me to pick one as everything from places to foods to people to activities I can do altogether created the experience for me. So i will say it depends on what you like. Phuket and nearby provinces of Krabi and Phang Nga has lots to offer. If you like party and night life, you may want to stay near Patong beach but if you like quiet beaches, dont choose Patong. There’s old town Phuket with loads of food options for foodies and colourful Chino-Protugese style buildings. There’s bg night market there in old town every Sunday. Threre are many islands around Phuket, including Similan, Raja island to name a few. You can also take a day trip to Phang Nga for Samet Nangshe viewpoint and Phang Nga Bay or day trip to Phi Phi National Park in Krabi province, home of the famous Maya Bay, Phi Phi Island and Pileh Lagoon.
Looks fantastic, my partner and I are looking to travel to Thailand soon in next year. Very insightful journey. Saying hi from South Africa, you should visit sometime :)
Remember this , it's your passport and it's not allowed to be in other hands, make copies give that, the consulate will freak out if something goes wrong and they blackmail you by having your passport.
I know what you mean, all the paperwork for flying that’s different for every country. I’m also paranoid I’ve missed that vital form and won’t be allowed in or out!! Thanks for the heads up on ‘Bolt’. Phuket looks great. The food looks amazing. The second hotel was definitely better. Wow it comes alive at night. Thanks for this great video guys 🍻

Hello Lloyd and Mandy, Phuket is my favourite place. First thing in the morning I go and catch fish and give them to the locals. It amazes me, that although locals live close to the beach or everybody has a scooter. I have never seen any local guys fishing in Patong beach. I usually stay at the Graceland Phuket and Spa.
