Awesome. Thanks for leaving in the mistakes. Sometimes there is more to learn from mistakes than most of the videos on here where people make it look perfect. Also, never thought about using cardboard to measure. Good idea.
The authenticity of the video makes it seem so approachable in a way that many super *slick* instructional videos do not. Thanks for sharing! DIY for human beings.
Love this so much! You’re super calm and don’t flood the video with unnecessary chatter - I actually watched the whole process and loved that you kept your mistakes in. Editing on point! Thank you 💕
Watched a million videos, thought about it for days, have all the tools and more, but your video does a great job of showing how to install an arch without exposing studs on an existing opening. Way to go!
I'm always so impressed how much people know about power tools and carpentry etc ..I'm really clueless and intimidated by angles and such and some power tools.
You did a great job! FYI... you were on the right track with the drywall saw, but I would have done it from the opposite side. Push stroke cuts cleaner, but it really doesn't matter if it is rough as the corner bead and mud will hide it. Another tip would be to cut in toward the center from each edge so that the final cut won't be on the edge allowing a easy break/tear.
I did not know wetting the drywall would work this way. I always thought you needed to score it. This is a much easier smoother look. Thanks for sharing! 😊👍
It looks great you did an awesome job but you may want to add a few drywall screws to reinforce the drywall to ensure it don't fall down later under the weight of the mudd and Sheetrock w time . I do alot of Sheetrock work myself and think you did great but then brad nails may not hold for lang period of time what w shifting of homes and all good luck and great job
Love the Arch. I preferred the contrasted color because I also love the angled ceiling/wall and with it and the arch ,that POPS. Can't really notice the angled wall if the color it matches the top ceiling. Thanks so much for sharing!!
how long did you let the wet drywall dry out before you started mudding it - I dont want to risk mold growing underneath. Sorry I just discovered the video ! Congrats on the overall achievement
I’ve been looking for a video of someone doing this not in a doorway which matches where I wanna put mine. I don’t trust my abilities to do this though 😩
👋😁🤔☹️😩awww pooor thing u struggle a lot but, u did a wonderful job ,it came out beautiful 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏Bravo good job ,excelente , go and take a big break 😅u deserved it 😁
In UK you bumpy underneath would not have mattered. An arch bead round and then plastered and job done. This 'mud" buisness abroad seems like such a hard way to do things
I think MAYBE (I’m not sure but…) you’re scoring the drywall on the wrong side. I think you score & snap from lighter side then just slice thru the brown side just to finish it off type thing.

Projects can be hard and mistakes are going to happen, it’s how we learn from them that really matters. Thank you so much for the encouraging words!
This is the type work I do for a living ... And I have to tell U ... U did an AWESOME job 👌

Thank you so much for the kind words Veronica!

I love this!! It turned out so nice! Your moment of frustration is ALL of US at some point. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you so much Molly!
It looks amazing, In my opinion something small like an arch changes the vibe of a place totally! Cheers from the Netherlands .
Thank you so much!! It really did change the whole vibe ❤️
You are my new hero! Amazing to have done this yourself - you've inspired this old mama!!
I love that you were able to show us your tricks on how to create an archway with-in 15 minutes. Bravo! Subscribed!
Nice job for a first timer I must say! Much respect lady, looks amazing!
This was so clear and fun to watch. I liked that you used everyday diy products not any special product that would take weeks to ship here. Thank you!
Thank you!!
I'm always so impressed how much people know about power tools and carpentry etc ..I'm really clueless and intimidated by angles and such and some power tools.
I completely understand how you feel. I didn’t start using power tools until about a year and a half ago.
You did such an amazing job… I definitely want to do this to my foyer entrance hallway
Awesome!!! Thank you for showing us the ins and outs of your journey! Came out beautifully!! 😍
Excellent! You are my new best friend! Thanks for showing mistakes too. They help!!

How wide was your hallway?
You did an amazing job!! Thanks for the inspiration!!😘😘
Great work
Do u have to leave space allowance when you put up the plywood for the drywall? If so, how much did you leave?
I used 1/2 inch drywall, so that much. But I’ll also physically hold up a piece of drywall to make sure I get it right.
@@DwellAware thank you! We already have our plywood cut and just getting to the next stages so this helps a lot!
It’s beautiful
Awesome job! How long did it take to wet the drywall enough to bend?
You’re so inspiring!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thats looks so good!! 😍😍
Thank you Simone!
Excellent job.
Thank you!
Good effort for someone with no experience. Must admit I cringed my way through it but kudos for going for it duck

Welll done!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job!!!!! Are you learning as you go or have you had prior experience
Thank you!!! Mostly learning as I go!
In UK you bumpy underneath would not have mattered. An arch bead round and then plastered and job done. This 'mud" buisness abroad seems like such a hard way to do things
You are 100% badass (if you do not mind my saying so). THANK YOU!
