@ing-lh8zs Art style isn't a reliable indicator of who made various games. The Dev of WV, Stray Fawn studio, have 6 other titles under their belt (with one that has a sorta sequel), all with wildly differing art styles. One of which, Airborne Empire, I'm hoping RCE tries out at some point.

My question (and hope) is if you're a real civil architect do you refuse to build with steel and glass and being back gothic style houses? Modern architecture is flint ugly and destroys the soul. I want green (like ranks), statures, reliefes...
@@tyrnordmann5580 not all is being back to gothic time but truly architecture, the art and technique of designing and building, as distinguished from the skills associated with construction. Thus it serves both utilitarian and aesthetic ends. Because every society settled or nomadic has a spatial relationship to the natural world and to other societies, the structures they produce. This goes into their environment, history, ceremonies, and artistic sensibility, as well as many aspects of daily life. So we truly try to take that into account when creating something.
Reminds me of an old Canadian movie called Heavy Metal. I think Jean Giraud did some of the art design.

If you like the art style, the art is heavily inspired by the work of French artist Jean Giraud, also known as Moebius. You should check out his stuff. The title screen is mimicing a particular piece of his. I like the way this game adapts his style for the city builder genre, his art was very fascinated with architecture so it feels like a natural combination.
I kinda had a feeling you'd get into this! ^_^
I also very much love the "Mœbius" (Jean Giraud) aesthetic they went with for it. Have adored (most of) his work for ages! ^_^

I only watch RCE for the editors' content. This channel is like peanut butter on celery. Nobody really notices the celery, but it's a nice device for getting peanut butter. Matt is the celery… the editors are the peanut butter!

You had a lot of water, the bar at the top said you had 607 water. I think people were dying because you were making them work in the extreme heat.

Tips for game devs to get Matt on board playing your game: 1) Allow for him to make "the strongest shape" and 2) Allow him to assign building priority (see the success of the Timberborners series)
Don't forget the pool, give the editors and Paddy a raise by letting them dip their feet in the pool for no more than 1 minute. Then back to the caves. Except for Paddy.

42C is not fun. You can endure it for short terms.
What really sucks is when it doesn't drop below 30C, 25C overnight. Then the heat stays and you don't really get anything cold.
Why, yes, I'm Australian. We get some tough summers.
And if you want bad, it's humidity that really does you in. Especially when it's over 30C and it's over 80% humidity.
