I went to high school with Richard, and the last time I saw him we were surfing and sailing in NZ! He said that he had an epic story to share with me, but little did I know that I would get to hear it early! You should have said "spoiler alert!" haha. I really enjoy your updates.
Yo Steve, keep it coming man. Loving your videos. Big thanks for taking the time to film, with everything else thats going on. Oh and find time to edit and post it up. 👍
Massively enjoying following along with the videos. Your series on the TA was part of my inspiration to ride it. Cheers to you and go well mate! What an epic adventure
Bears & lions, oh truly truly my!! Thanks so much mate sharing your adventures. So generous Was wondering how those forks were doing, quite a few choose them, now your off, with you mste, stay safe!
The ones that failed were Lauf. TBH, now I’m running the Fox 32’s I would never get a Lauf, nor would I recommend a friend get them. A suspension fork is waaaay better!
Great stuff, I've seen that video too 😂. Are you folks in a race or just doing a holiday trip. I fink I would have a rear view mirror for mountain lions 😂
Well, it’s turning into a holiday trip for me now! I’m still in Helena waiting for a fork. Brett and Martin have pushed on. Haha, us Kiwis have no apex predators at home so it’s clearly top of mind still for us 😅
Really enjoying these videos. Thanks for posting them. I'm hoping to have a crack at the race in 2024. Did you figure out the Lauf failure? Did you have them long before the race?
@@stephenpetty7517 thanks for the reply! I will have my lauf fork for about the same time by the time I get to race. I might have to think about whether I swap it out before the race.

I had them for about 2yrs. Numerous bikepacking trips… I’m not sure mate. Maybe just past their used by date? They don’t really like weight either.
