Divergent fist is the result of itadori’s physical prowess being so advanced that his cursed energy lags behind however due the the six eyes his curses energy control would be way more than enough to bypass this, i dont think you quite understand what the technique actually is because it wouldnt really work to make him faster if used on his feet
Fun fact, itadori now sometimes uses divergent fist on purpose for mixups so it’s more like a common technique that’s probably still good. It’s like a feint that does damage and it is quite fun to believe that he has these cool enhancing abilities.
