He already had his big break in Shark Tale! Easily his best collaboration with Martin Scorsese!
Yes, but that was in 2004 - that's an eternity in Hollywood years. Sadly, De Niro wasn't able to parlay that experience into a serious career. I mean, Leonardo DiCaprio built his entire career on working with Scorsese. You'd think De Niro would've followed that example! Twelve years after "Shark Tale," in 2016 he's playing second banana to Zac Efron in "Dirty Grandpa"!
The love between Tina and Tracy warms my heart.

Tina and Tracy are one of the best comedy duos! Love when they work together.
Tina fey is great because she knows how all the jokes are supposed to work. She can execute better than anyone else ever on SNL.

That was amazing! As each cameo came on I thought "wow, they can't top this." Tracy was the gold plated cherry on top! A perfect cameo to end on.
And then there is me. I knew about half the cameos.
The fact that they got everyone to show up is astounding
Man, this is was the best monologue yet. The appearances of Tina, Jerry, Benedict, DeNiro, Tracey and Glover made it amazing.
That reaction for Donald Glover though. That guy’s going places.

This monologue made me think which of the young cast members could be the next break out star. If I had to guess, I would say Heidi Gardner. She's already shown potential. Once Kate and Cecily eventually exit the show, she'll really be able to come into her own as a star.
Colin and Michael will have all the opportunities in the world when they leave. no idea what each of them is gonna do, but I guess it will be epic.
Melissa Villaseñor too! I think Heidi & Melissa has the potential to be the new Kriten Wiig & Kate. Both are amazing.
But the thought of Kate or Cecily leaving the show makes me scared already. :( I hope they stay with the show.
Heidi isn't that great; they've just been pushing her really hard on the audience.

Deven Damji she's really annoying, I like Luke but they focus too much on Heidi even though she's no Kristen Wiig or Kate and certainly not a Tina Fey. The new cast is dead and quality will go down after the current cast leaves.

Fred can make anything funny just by talking. But in all seriousness SNL has relied a bit too heavily on celeb cameos these last two seasons. Melissa McCarthy, Alec, Ben Stiller etc. give the youngsters some time to shine.

I like to think they acknowledged that, hence why the put through the Seinfeld question. This may have been sort of a "One last hurrah" monologue
Honestly, I think the only reason for that is the current administration. It started with Alec Baldwin and just grew from there.

sykotestbild Actually...they snuck/slid them in at the very last moment and before they could wrap their head around who was next to them they were on,
Most of the time the audience doesn't know who it is until they cut in a close up. Believe it or not, but celebrities look like normal people from far away!
I was in that live audience and most times they celebrity star is brought on really quickly and usually at the camera angle which is away for majority of the audience so most cant make out for sure but those reactions are genuine unlike the applause sign at the beginning of every sketch. The set up for the stage is like a semi circle so its weird what you can see and what you cant. Tina Fey show was my 32nd time in the audience too...I recommend it for anyone who's willing to wait in line over night with friends for tickets

@@alessandro.romero3342 well you have the tvs around you so you can choose to have a better view watching it as people at home would or depending on your angle you see the cue cards and the energy is so much stronger then anything at home...obviously
