Thank you!! Trying to get more into souls content lol absolutely love these games and watch all of your stuff man it’s honestly great watches and I inspire a lot of my stuff from your vids so that means a lot!
honestly any list is a good list besides ds2 that one will always be on the bottom i cant place the rest in the right spot because they all hit the spot in the right way in there own way although bloodborne will always hold the highest in my heart due to it being the first souls game i played and the first one i got all achievements for but in terms of overall i can place all of these at number one in there own category.
I’m in the same boat as you man! Elden Ring was my first Fromsoft game, then I went back and played the older ones. Its crazy how in 2016 I thought Souls games were for absolute weirdos. Then Elden Ring unlocked the gate and somehow made these games “cool” for a lot of people. Its crazy how much the perspective can shift. I think its great that the general audience is being exposed to more hardcore type games. Idk if I would have ever played souls if it wasn’t for Elden Ring. Now here is my ranking: 1. Elden Ring (favorite game of all time) 2. Bloodborne 3. Sekiro 4. Dark Souls 3 5. Dark Souls 6. Demons Souls 7. Dark Souls 2
So, I've taken to playing through most of the series in order (except demons souls and blood borne, cuz they arent on pc. Yeah fromsoft can really go fuck themselves for that one. And didnt play sekiro cuz I want to play my own character) For me, ds1 will still remain the best because it just did the story, the atmosphere and the presentation correctly. After playing it it just felt natural to call it a masterpiece. But I can understand how the constant running and all the jank can get annoying. Just does not have that modern polish. But ya girl mainly plays morrowind, so that really did not bother me too much. I feel like ds2 gets really underrated cuz ppl didnt like how it plays. Tbh I love it and the amount of depth that game has is insane. Ds3 has the best bosses hands down, but I really hated every area up to the abysswatchers. So the game kinda put a sour tase in my mouth in terms of replayability. But fuck those bosses are fun. Elden ring was an odd one. I think if that had been my first one, I may have enjoyed it a lot more, but with the game being this large, and apart from the bosses most of it being reused stuff, it kinda starts to drag on. Also shit gets very overtuned in the endgame and bossfights take *forever* And I literally had no idea who the final boss was. Kinda just felt like completing the game only to fight some guy called steve, with a hammer, and his pet slug. I still think its a great game, but I feel like the sheer size of that game has kinda dragged down the quality of it. I feel like my personal ranking would look very different, cuz I am a lot more story than gameplay focused. And tbh I never did enjoy the input lag they kept for rolling. But I think this is a respectable ranking from a different perspective. I do hope they port bloodborne some day. Or better yet, hire someone that actually knows how to do it.
While my favourite is Bloodborne, I still think that Elden Ring has some of the best areas in From’s games. There is a gigantic amount of quality places to visit, so the scale is just a bonus. Also, the final boss isn’t just “some Steve with a hammer”, when you really delve into the lore, you can get a lot out of Elden Ring.
@@thegwynbleidd4202 my point with steve was that the game does a pretty bad job at telling you who radagon actually was. Like the only place I've heared him mentioned on a repeat playthrough is ether listening to the kinda boring marika quotes, or by doing the very missable and convoluted goldmask quest. So yes. If you deep dive into the item description then he may have some deep lore, but as a casual player he was just some guy with a hammer. I did not recognize the name. Kinda not how you want your final boss to feel like. Very underwhelming.
@@jionmionskwisgaar1476 the more I hear about sekiro the more I think its just not a game I'd be interested in. I may try it one day, but I dont think I'll buy it just on my own.
Solid list my dude! We agree on so many things and honestly I changed my order 3 times between writing my script and actually finishing the video 😂

Are you looking forward to “Lies of P”?
Yes! Demo was super fun and intriguing m. Looking forward to playing the full experience. Might be the closest to a Bloodborne sequel we ever get

It's one of the greatest games of all time.
Period.

Totally agree! Thank you for the feedback! That’s some very fair critiques and thoughts. We can all hope one day for a bloodborne port as well
