    So glad that you did a special tribute to Suzanne Somers. She was ahead of her time in so many ways. She was also very talented. Looking back, I think that a film career for her was thwarted by the studio execs for her outspokenness. That said, she forged ahead as an entrepreneur, a Las Vegas entertainer, and a spokesperson for holistic medicine. Thank you, Karine, for this tribute to the iconic Suzanne Somers. 🤍🤍🕊🕊

    • @akrenwinkle
      @akrenwinkle 9 месяцев назад +8

      She was behind the times, letting her husband/manager take charge of her career, with the usual godawful results. She had everything going for her until she went on strike in "3's Company." Absolutely nobody knew her before that. She could have rode it out and waited for her turn to have her own show with her own production company. If her husband had done any homework, they would have known that the bosses of "3's Company" were bastards. Suzanne and hubby had to find out the hard way. It wasn't enough for the execs to write Suzanne out of the scripts to show she wasn't needed, but they rearranged everything so that John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt wouldn't come into contact with her. And so Suzanne's scenes were all solo, sometimes on the telephone, to rub it in. Suzanne wasn't an idiot, just another woman who let her no-talent husband be boss, and not ask any questions.

    • @TiffanyRayneOfficial
      @TiffanyRayneOfficial 8 месяцев назад +4

      @@akrenwinkleShe went on strike because of equal pay. Once again, their male counterparts were paid more than her and her female co-stars. So she wasn't behind the times, she was speaking up at a time it wasn't popular. And now look at the writers and actors strike, and that's affecting everyone in Hollywood who aren't the studio heads and CEOs.

    Suzanne Somers was living proof of "when life gives you lemons make lemonade". I thought she would be around much longer, such a terrible and unexpected loss! I had no idea her cancer returned until learning about Suzanne's death. May the gorgeous Ms. Somers rest in the sweetest peace. Cancer truly doesn't discrimate, let's keep getting checked people!

    • @deed2157
      @deed2157 9 месяцев назад +8

      Yeah. She usually did weekly videos on her social media having conversations with her husband and family members who work in her company while promoting her products. In recent videos fans noticed she wasn't in them and was wondering why. She finally announced in July that her cancer had returned and she would be focusing on her health.
      I don't think her getting regular checkups would have mattered Bec when cancer comes back it's harder to treat.than before. The cancer becomes resistant to many of the treatments. Whatever Suzanne was doing it probably became resistant to it too.

    • @Igboman87
      @Igboman87 9 месяцев назад +8

    She was such a powerful warrior for health. I remember her being on HSN talking about health and wellness and her being called a quack. She was way ahead of her time. She was spot on with things. I adored her for many reasons. We've lost a true warrior. I always thought she was witty, very smart. She was all that. I believe she would have been killed a long time ago. She already wrote like 25 books already.She used some conventional treatments like radiation. Its just one of those things that some people have highly compromised immune systems. Same thing happened to Olivia Newton John. Her cancer came back.
      She already had another cancer in her 30s before the breast in her 50s. The same cancer becomes harder to treat the second time around bec the cancer makes itself resistant to the previous treatments you were using that's why you constantly have to change it.
      I think she would have died long ago if she didn't take care of herself the way she did.

She said his widow had told her that she's received an anonymous call saying her husband would die suddenly of a heart attack, and he did. Suzanne's husband then chimed in that she wasn't stating her belief as a fact.
    Did she let her husband off the hook for being instrumental in making those money demands of Three's Company? It was too much imo. No, her doctor had just gotten an ultrasound machine and asked her if she wanted to try it on her. It was the ultrasound that found the tumour! I have not and will not ever get a mammogram because it is basically an x-ray of the breast which totally exposes you to radiation which accumulates in the body.

    I always loved her i grew up watching her on "Three's Company" and any other show or movie she appeared in as Farrah Fawcett i thought they both had BEAUTIFUL hair ❤ she had a bubbly spirit about her and now hearing of her tramatic childhood breaks my heart she didn't deserve that Rest in Peace Suzanne 🙏

    I remember growing up & seeing old shows of Three’s Company. That is when I first was introduced to Suzanne Somers. She and the rest of the cast were so hilarious.Also, her educating others on health & fitness was so priceless. RIP Suzanne. ❤
