😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

The problem with EV’s is that they’re sold as complete replacements for ICE vehicles, which they are not.
They are only good for getting around town, provided you have access to home charging.
So if you can charge at home, and drive 40 miles or less daily, then a low cost EV is the perfect solution. Unfortunately, EV automakers keep cranking out very expensive models that most consumers cannot afford. And this is why they’re in trouble.
In Japan, Nissan puts out the Sakura for USD $13,000. It seats four and gets 116 miles (180 km) per charge (in ideal conditions). It is the best-selling EV in that country. Wonder why?
A city commuter EV doesn’t require a large battery. Therefore, it is way cheaper to manufacture as a large battery makes up a hefty portion of the selling costs of impractical long range models (charging network bottlenecks).
    Try explaining this to EVangelists.

I have hear this obserd line 100's of times "Written by someone who obviously never drove an EV". I may just not be as smart as you but just how does actually Driving a Finincal Money Pit and Safety Ridden Beta EV change the facts ? Again I do appologize as I am just not as smart as you. I see EV's like Ferrari's. We all know Ferrari's are some of the Greatest High Performance Driving Machines ever made they are AWSOME but very few of us can afford them....hell even the tires on them ! as they come at such a high cost and are only really good at one thing Ego Performance Driving. I have never seen a Ferrari at CostCo stocking up on Groceries....or any local High School transporting kids and there gear etc. EV's are just to expensive for the majority of us even with Govt Bribes ! they are just TOO EXPENSIVE I don't mean just Financually but Environmentally ! No Sane person wtih any kind of real budget would volonteerly turn in a Paid Off ICE vehicle with its PROVEN history for a vehicle 3 times as expensive in terms of Payments, Electrical Upgrades needed to the home, Environmental Damage and End of Life recycleing. Don't get me started on depriciation ! Again just another example of how the Rich Elite tell the rest of us how great it is to be Rich. Well I may have an old Gas Guzzler but in terms of Safety, Financial Cost and lower monthly cost even for around town driving it suits my needs vs a 60K battery car depriciating by the day. You can keep you EV ......and my kids are learning it's better to own something you can fix outright VS being a slave to a payment for a car you can't. I don't want a car with technology. I would rather leave that in my office or my streaming room. I don't want my car to be connected to the fucking internet. I don't want no EV bullshit. I just want a regular old V6 or V8 engine not turbocharged that gets between 20 and 30. Mi of the gallon has a decent amount of horsepower and will get me through the snow and the minus 40° f that we have every year here in Minnesota. Simple as that and I also don't want to spend $50 $60,000 on a new vehicle. So until they can change those things I'll just keep driving my old piece of shit

The truth is, since WWII, the physical form-factor and energy density of batteries of today, have only been reduced to 1/5 of there original size (there are only so many molecules of materials available for anodes and cathodes). On the other hand, the smallest single function vacuum tube's glass envelope (the peanut tube) in 1945, will hold more than thirty billion transistors, batteries will never catch up!

  • @kennedymcgovern5413

There is nothing surprising here. Anyone with so much as a bachelor's degree in marketing could have seen this coming.
What they're doing is they're building the cars the government wants, in order to soak up all the government subsidies, while ignoring the cars their customers want.
2/3 of a million EVs sold in the United States? What marketing team thought that was possible?
The American consumers who want EVs are a very very small demographic. Tesla is more than enough to supply that small demographic, and they already have years worth of a head start on anyone else who wants to enter that market. When you get too many suppliers trying to grab a small market, you get massive failure.
Americans do not want these EVs. We are not going to buy them. I don't care what crafty arguments hippies make, we just don't want them.
Now, personally, as a man who wants ran a power plant on a destroyer... I can't even be fooled by the bad arguments the hippies make. I know where electricity comes from. But for the masses, those arguments are not going to change what people want to buy.
Your government is wasting billions of your tax dollars incentivizing these manufacturers to make these cars, and these manufacturers are all going to go broke piling them up at the dealerships where they will sit and collect dust until they go to the crusher.
I just put a new V8 engine in my 2006 truck, and what it needs a transmission I'll replace that too, in order to ensure that these idiots are never a bother to me.

Several years ago I thought an EV might be cool. The more I learned the less I thought they are a good idea. At this point you couldn't give me one. Plus if anything they're much worse for the environment. They're just going to be machines with a very short life.
