awesome! Well, you can pretty much tell they're dead when the box feels really soft and you go over your foot when you're on pointe.. basically when your shoes don't support you anymore!
Wow, you're such an awesome dancer! I hope you come far in your ballet career. Wish you the best!! 😘👍 Thanks for the Video! I'm searching for many different ways to break in pointe shoes so I can find 'my own way' and the one, I like the best. Btw, this is the first Video I'm watching of you, and I just subscribed right away!
I have had my second pair of pointe shoes for a while. They fit nicely, but they just won't break in! It's driving me crazy- any tips on breaking them in other than what's in the video?
I have this strong urge to put on pointe so bad and dance. Lol like no joke. I tried to ignore the desire for years because my family just thought it was a phase, but over the years, it's still been haunting me.
Nothing against you but my teacher believes in working the Pointe shoes in so when we come every week that's when we break then in throughout the year plus it's easier because we don't have to buy another pair of shoes like every month only every like year (for people that don't know they cost like $100 or more a pair)
Depending on if you have the funds, if you need them for a show, and also if you need a softer shank form hard box. I know many who lightly break their shoes in but they last for a while.
Chloe Chen probably around 80$. I would suggest getting professionally fitted. It doesn’t cost any extra, just go to your local dance store, they should know what they are doing. Either make sure you are going with your dance teacher or make sure you have your dance teachers approval because it is equally import for your pointe shoe to feel good, and look good. Also make sure your dance teacher gives you the okay to go on pointe. You could seriously injure yourself if your feet aren’t strong and flexible enough. Lastly do not go by the price of the shoe. If a shoe looks and feels amazing but it is 20$ more than the last, do not go for the worst shoe. Always make sure you have the perfect shoe and you will not find that by buying without help from a professional
Omg I always watching your video and I'm always wish to buy Pointe shoes ..but I don't have in my country place to buy or learn ballet we was have before the war in 2011 but now no never ..I learned ballet in home and I always wish this..I'm not poor I mean I can buy from internet or Google and then they deliver it but I don't have visa.. any one rich and have visa buy one forme😔😔 when I see someone with Pointe shoes I start cry..the life not fair
I'm not even a dancer, I just love watching people with pointe shoes. ❤️
Emily anderson I don't dance either. But I still love watching pointe shoe videos.
I know right it's so interesting!
Those custom shoes fit you so beautifully like a second skin. ☺
Thank you!!
that was really helpful! could you please do a video on how to tell when your pointe shoes are dead?

Lady Natalie maybe you got one that super hard
are they gaynor mindens or russians??
Do you try each shoe on each foot to decide which will be left and which will be right?

What pointe shoes do you usually wear?
I wear capezio always!
Alison Stroming I find them annoying but very pretty I use the Russian pointe.
AthenaDia I’ve always used Gaynors. When I tried capezio I didn’t like the box but I looveee the way they look.
