It measures from the outside frame to the cab door!

So they shrink the product and charge you more this is normal practice to hide inflation. Older is golden.

So, 3" inches shorter from the previous gen VNL860.
Wonder if the VNL760 will stay the same size. I believe it was 70" inches

Something not right. I drive a 2019 VNR 640. Was curious so I measured it, back wall to the back of the seat 54" . You measured 62" on the 860. Something don't add up 🤔

So, I found Volvo measures their sleeper size from the back of sleeper to the door gap. That's why inside the sleeper, it's smaller measurements.

It's probably measured diagonally, you know like they measure TV screens.

The VNL 860 is Volvo's flagship semi-truck model, and the "860" refers to its high-roof and 77-inch sleeper:
    High-roof
The VNL 860 has a high-roof sleeper, which is larger than the 70-inch sleeper in the VNL 760.
    77-inch sleeper

Way better design on new 860. Why would you need a fold down table for 4 people? I would rather have an entire bed go up and table fold down (especially for a team drivers) so you don't need to clean out your bed every time you want to sit by the table.

It don’t matter how you measure it, I quickly saw on the debut video. This new pos is remarkably smaller on every model… Volvo had the best otr truck for years with the 770,780,860. Now this is just insulting to me. And fridge on passenger side now is the dustbins I’ve ever seen. You atleast use to be able to grab a drink or something by reaching behind you. Volvo ruined these models. But hey what does it model… their real agenda is fully autonomous trucks. Those won’t need driver space.
