I am currently looking for an S3. I see that there are 2 engine codes BHZ and CDL is there a difference in this? And are these cars known for consuming oil? That is the reason why I did not go for a golf 6 gti.
They are pretty much the same. If u want the mk6 gti just take a edition 35 its the same engine from the golf 6r or s3 which means the engine has an timing belt and a little chain for the cams. I got my S3 FL with the cdla about half a year with 140k km and there was a little oil consume but i just switched the oil from 5w30 longlife to 5w40 and the oil consume was completely gone.

When doing the Haldex test, are you literally immediately popping the clutch? Or is there some level of clutch control to stop it bogging down? Because when I just completely dump the clutch mine bogs down then have to wait for the revs to climb again
You have to dump it theres no control because if you try control it and let it of slow your literally just burning your clutch because your revving so high to launch it 👍

@@H4Torque were you launching with TC off? Because mines limited to just under 4k with TC on and this causes the car to bog down real badly if I pop the clutch. Haven't tried with TC off yet
@@harrywright6753 Yeah same happens on mine with PS4's you HAVE to slip the clutch slightly to avoid it bogging. worse thing about haldex, had a b7 a4 and you could dump it no issues
