Viking river splash was my favourite ive ridden it atleast 25 times the cold mists from the ribcage the pouring barrel of water dumping on you the rats squirting you with water and the massive dragons it was awesome Unfortunately they dialed down the speed after a kid died on a similar ride which made it less fun you used to have to cling on to not be flung around in your seat but i can understand why Main problem was that lots of it was broken constantly, most visits the barrel wasnt working or the crowd controlled water cannons were out of order or the spitting rats or statues were down or something Still though, so damn fun
@@charchar635 I didin't expect to see a comment regarding a first hand experience with the ride, this is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing your experience, seemed like it was quite the ride in its day!
Whenever someone asks me what my favorite LEGO theme is (which is not very often unfortunately), I always say 2005-06 Vikings. My ancestry is basically all Scandinavian, and in my opinion LEGO creature design peaked with Vikings' hybrid Technic-System dragons. Don't get me wrong, some of the fully System creatures LEGO achieves today are quite impressive, but especially for its time Vikings' use of Technic parts for its creatures made them feel more organic/alive somehow. I am currently working on a MOC project designing creatures from How to Train Your Dragon (as well as some of my own ideas) in a LEGO Vikings style attempting to expand the theme's lore and setting which I feel did not last long enough as an official theme.
@@rickcharlespersonal Thanks a lot for the comment, I love seeing stuff like this! I agree the technic beasts are amazing, especially for the time! Once the MOC is done you should comment with a link to it so I can check it out!
I loved the first upload, and I love this one as well! To reiterate my previous comment, your videos are the perfect to listen in the background while I work! Keep up the great work!
I was lucky enough to get all of the original 2005 wave for Christmas 2005 (there was a discount for buying all sets). Then I picked up 4 of the heavy artillery sets (then discontinued) for £25 about 4 years later! Big fan of the vikings line 🙏

Yeah I loved the ride too had great memories, it was great themed and it went well with the castle dragon ride next to it, it’s sad to see it go, 😢
