1:37 a spiky egg would be *very* painful for the mama bird 7:16 I have played this podcast in a chicken coup. I can confirm the chickens were quite interested, although that may have just been the leftover dirt on my hands.
10:01 I believe we sell eggs mainly in a dozen a carton here in The States 12:16 Egg in cake is there to add some color and to add to the structure. Chemistry :) 54:09 I never thought the Easter bunny was laying the eggs. The bunny just disperses them. Probably has a farm somewhere where he/she collects the eggs and colors them. 56:43 According to Brittanica, "Just as Jesus rose from the tomb, the egg symbolized new life emerging from the eggshell."
Humpty dumpty was originally a really powerful cannon, but then the tower that the cannon was on got destroyed and Humpty dumpty fell down and broke. All the kings horses and men refers to the royalists in the English civil war, who owned the cannon.
The Faberge eggs were easter gifts from the Tsar to the Tsarina and made with precious metals and jewels. They usually opened and contained some marvel of the jeweller's art. Framed enameled portraits or delicate mechanical objects or exquisitely carved miniatures. Easter was pretty important to them.
56:00 I used to think the boulder outside the Jesus cave was egg shaped, I think it’s something to do with eggs and new life?? Following on from this horrific convo, have you ever had the sweet Camel Balls? I got them from an American sweet shop ones, my young innocent mind has been scarred ever since
Rabbits kind of lay little chocolatey looking eggs, well tiny balls. They spread these pellets everywhere. Easter bunny is special, his pellets are actually chocolate.😊
My parents own chickens and I've definitely had your podcast on while leaving out the back (where they are) and forgetting headphones. So no picture, but a chicken has definitely heard your podcast at least.
7:18 Jack missed an opertunity there......... I thought was going to say "If you are blaring it out loud.........." and then scream something inappropriate or weird
Easter and the rabbits and eggs predate christianity. However, in the spirit of cooperation, the church took the customs and rewrote the back story. Trying to make people give up their spring feast, like with mid winter and harvest, was just too hard. So the church rewrote the story behind each and brought them into the christian culture.
This is the last episode of the season, so we'll be back soon!
Love K&J
Wait, when will they be back.

🤔 I’ve never contemplated the mental agility of a bauble, before this morning. 😆
I've never had a scotch egg. I am aware of their exsirance. Ive just never tried one. Most mornings I have an egg tho. They are so good for breakfast.
That Humpty Dumpty conversation was the funniest thing I’ve heart in a while 😂😂
This came at the perfect time when I needed something cool to listen to!

Big spiky hard eggs... think of the hen, she has to poop it out of her butt, remember. They build a nest for good reason.
It's called an elephant bird because it's the size of an elephant
