It's all about money mate. LFC/FSG aren't prepared to cough up to Amorin's demands, which is fair enough. Add to that, as you pointed out, it would take major money to sign the players to fit his system - more money. It's all about money imo.

Totally agree with what you say. I saw an article today on metro which said Slot, who was pursued by Tottenham last summer, wants to join Liverpool ‘at all costs’, with the Premier League side now entering negotiations with last year’s Dutch champions. Its all about the money. Whoever comes in they will need to create a silk purse out of sow's ear. I can't see FSG loosening the purse strings any time soon.

Ruben Amorim camp wanted £10m for Amorim wage demands with rumoured signing on bonus. Plus we've got pay his contract out of Sporting deal between £15m - £20m and potentially agent fee. We're talking about maybe over £30m that's too much for a manager. I agree Ruben Amorim can still get this job, if he or his camp change their demands. If it's Arne Slot then so be it am backing our potentially new guy.
Didn't we expect next guy was going to be Head Coach than Manager since Edwards wouldn't like a manager having more of decision making that's why Edwards left first place under Klopp. Head coach just means worry about squad than business side of things, which could be one of the factors of Klopp leaving us dealing with business side of things than worrying about his job manage the squad.

Lols! I just had the most amazing thought ever in the history of football.....who else is out of contract this year? David Moyes! It's perfect, he's managed Everton and Man U, and obviously having had the experience of taking over for another legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, he'd be uniquely qualified and experienced to do the same in replacing Jurgen Klopp! Also he's obviously really familiar with this part of the country as to keep the family happy, simples! YNWA!

I think too much emphasis may be made over the formation a manager has been using Klopp himself played 4-2-3-1 at dortmund and then used it at the start of his LFC career but formations are always dictated to by what players you have or what players you want. Would Amorim have automatically gone for 3-4-3 at liverpool from day one or would he have done or would he do something different (don't want to rule him out either). One thing that concerns me about Amorim is if he wants higher wages is he not backing himself? higher wages means a higher compensation for getting your P45. FSG are tight we know this but if you prove your worth they will pay it look at Mo's wages now and what Trent is on, Virgil, Ali. I reckon Diaz is angling for a new deal for me it makes the most sense Barca coulnd't afford what LIverpool would ask for Diaz who else in the world is as quick and skillfull as he is at a proven level? Remember LFC could make reference to what utd paid Ajax for Antony and say "that's the going rate for a winger" what the hell would Barca do then? PSG are his only possible destination and maybe that's where he would end up if it isn't just angling for a pay rise and he would walk into their first team no issues

I think what Ruben Amorim did with Westham is now the same with Liverpool and Arne Slot - its about bringing in some other option in the game to push on the final decision.

Adam, if you listen to what you first said about how we play and how Slot plays and also how he works…do you think your list of managers are really in the correct order? Our club is going to be run like a machine, from top to bottom. So if people wanna call Slot a Yes man, fine. I see him more as a compatible piece of hardware that’ll fit and function within the machine. I think over the next few seasons our Club will set an envious standard of how to run a modern data driven club. A club that’s successful, profitable and functional.

Yeah I get what you mean, but that was more of a comparison to Amorim and as I also said you would have thought that this would have been taken into consideration back when it all first started.
      Rodgers was a yes man
Klopp was a yes man until a certain point
He might fit well he might turn out good. But I still stick with my opinion he wasn’t first choice.
As I said he will have my full support of when he becomes the manager YNWA

Give him a chance. Edwards is running the club and I for one I back him too. Amorim has blown it with his outrageous wage demands. I don't know much about Slot but other clubs are looking at him.

Amorin and Alonzo doesn't fit Liverpool. They play with 3 defenders so we would have to sell all our defenders and buy atleast 6 new defenders. We would have to build a new team after Klopp already done that.
I don't want a manager that sells Robbo, TAA and Virgil in the first transfer window.

Adam what are your thoughts on Edwards? He’s hailed as a genius, but I think he’s a bit of a fraud. He was here before Klopp and the recruitment wasn’t raved about. All of a sudden it gets raved about as soon as Klopp take over and starts winning. I think what Klopp have done with the players and made Edwards look more of a ‘genius’ than what he actually it. He’s great at doing deals, but that’s it in my opinion

Now really , football english teams have so much money and still dont buy a coach or a player that really fits the club.I wish my Sporting had just half of the money from a PL club like a Sheffield. We buy a player like Gyokeres for 20M€ this year and was a record for my club.🤣🤣

FSG want a yes man, who is grateful for the opportunity, so they can run the club they want to. As long as the LFC cash cow is making money, they are happy. But like you said, whoever comes in, we will support him. Amorim ruled himself out with his demands. Like I said, they want a yes man

Slot isn't welcome here. Was sacked in 2020 for "losing his focus on the job". Miles behind PSV. Hardly inspiring is it?
