    According to ohms law .."I "is directly proportional to V ...therfore when V is changed to 110.."I" Would also change......thats why R is obtained first..coz it remains constant in both cases.....

    P =VI ....
    Yeh vala process nahi hone ka karan hai ....
    Bulb same hai toh resistance v same
    Kyuki bulb ek resistor hai .
    Par current voltage par depend karta hai toh current yaha variable hai isliye hum resistance use kar ke answer nikalenge

      Because if we use P=VI , V is alredy given and I which means current is not given so P=V multipled by I then , P =v(V/R) then , P=V2 /R

      In this question we are changing the voltage, and current is directly proportional to voltage so with change in voltage current also changes. But resistance remains same ( because a certain bulb or substance has fixed resistance} so we use a formula which involves resistance

    I have a doubt :-
    If we solve it like this the answer is = 50 ..... why is my answer incorrect?
    P=VI
    100=220 (I)
    I = 5/11
    Then
    P=VI
    P= 110(5/11) = 10(5)
    P= 50

    P= vi
    100= 220i
    I=100/220
    = 5/11 A
    (P = vi)
    P = 110×5/11
    P = 10×5
    P = 50w
