I think these celebrities are shocked at the amount of work they have to put in for this show!! It is real competition for the dance professionals and they take it seriously because they want to win and get their hands on that glitter ball! It is not a game to them!! So I think these celebrities dont like being told what to do and if they are doing it wrong they do not want to be told and the end of the day it is hard work! These professional dancers are athletes!! Amanda Abington openly admitted that she suffers with mental health so why on earth did she agree to do this show? She has lost a talented Professional dancer his job! I wont be watching anything she is in anymore!!

Here, here! When she quit my thoughts were ‘not good enough to make it very far, so let’s back, out now’. She probably didn’t appreciate her dancing partner’s dedication. I saw Giovanni’s live show in Taunton a while back, with front row seat. Which, in that little theatre, means you’re only a couple of yards away. I left the theatre that night with a whole new respect for Giovanni and his partner Luba. They put so much into their performances.

The problem is that the so called celebrities (most are just Joe Bloggs off the street) don't know the hard work of physical exercise/sport.
Dancing on Ice had a similar complaint during one season where some model moaned about being worked too hard and dropped out, claiming abuse.
These sessions are mainly recorded, and it is hard tiring work. Injuries happen, physical contact is required, professionals and coaches use their arms and legs to physically move the 'contestants' arms and legs to correct fully extended position (which will hurt due to the unnatural extension for most people)
However, these modern none celebs on the shows do not understand the sheer exhaustion - physically and emotionally - of putting on a show. Yes, tempers may get frayed but seasoned adults know that is the time to walk away.
I can guess that maybe what has happened is the professional needed a break to cool down, but if it is the so called celebrity calling the shots they haven't allowed that because their time is "so precious". And then they get angry when the natural frustration causes a cross word or a touch that is not as gentle as previous.
The so.called celebs need to learn when to take a break. I would hazard a guess that it is the professionals being abused.
But like Ann says, on these shows there is filming taking place so another pair or eyes, or at least video evidence of any abuse, but this is never shown so we know that said abuse has never taken place.
I have watched one series of Strictly and was bored with the format, and unknown joe bloggs claiming to be famous, and I watched about 4 series of Dancing on Ice, but again realised that the format had major faults and made bad entertainment.

There was a time when you couldn't appear on stage or screen without an Equity Card, but like with everything else they have lowered the bar to such an extent, that someone appearing in a You Tube video is now labelled "celebrity". These people are being paid for a job. They want all the lovely dovey touchy feely without putting in the work. Have you noticed it is often the professional sports people that do well in this show? Why? Because they have a good work ethic. There are thousands of hours of video gone through each day to produce highlights for the main show and It Takes Two, why has no one at the BBC picked up on this and dealt with it? This is very much like the Me Too movement. It is an insult to anyone suffering PTSD. Have the BBC learned nothing? Two or more Professionals have lost their reputations and livelihoods in the court of public opinion without anyone in the public having seen footage of insult, assult, or abuse. WHat happened to innocent until proven guilty?
