2 games playing Kommandos against Space marines. Game 1: Tabled beginning of turn 3 having killed 1 marine Game 2: tabled middle of 3 and killed TWO marines
Death Korps have been severely nerfed, the demo, sniper, plasma, leader, hardened vet are notably worse and losing the nice in death atonement ploy means they should be at least tier C if not D.
So maybe it is because I am playing on the ItD terrain (i.e. close quarters) but surprised that people think so poorly (or relatively mid) of Hierotek. Chronomancer seems really solid in the initial games I've had. But Legionaires seem really good initially from the singular game I have had with them.
Any more ideas (the dice for model selection was an amazing suggestion) to add more depth to the npo of coop? I would love to put 2 Killteams, following their rules, against a Combat Patrol Detachment (with a third human), following mainly the Combat Patrol rules with some fixes which I will not list to be brief. This "showdown" could do well for the players as they would get a better challenge and possibly be a wild setup for a narrative campaign that has both sides playing as intended (skillful specialists vs small army/horde). Lastly, it would expand your question "Can you be a pro of coop?" into "which side, Killteam or Combat Patrol?".
As a pathfinders player it was more then a bit of a nerf, everything got a nerf almost every unit got nerfed on their sheet, even thinning the default pathfinder might be better. their abilities and equipment as well. it's sad tbh.
Love your videos Glass, however I'm quite confused by your views on classification. It seems rather arbitrary to force a team to specifically be above or below average. Average tier feels completely valid to me, and a very useful tier to have, since it is generally very intuitive to compare against the average
@@HenrikFjord so I agree that there can be a middle tier for teams, my issue was with how creators of the list end up using that middle tier, whereas I think that forcing a slight up or down provides a more interesting overall list. To each their own of course, and I'm fully aware that 5 tiers is the norm!
Thanks for the response 🙂. I can see that the middle tier could become bloated, since it might feel safer to put teams in the average category. That would certainly be a flaw in a tier list.
@@nolader28 Their ploys are insane. Defenders of the Faith isn't once per TP, it's every combat. It works with Mission Markers, so dropping a markers from Recon tac ops. Kasrkin at S tier for having the balls to go against alien terrors with nothing but guns and guts. no special powers or whatever (unless you count being heavy infantry as special powers)
That's because all of these content creators are competitive players and base their lists off of tournament viability. Mountainside tabletop make awesome reports but aren't competitive players
@@thomasemery5326 yep and that's why tier lists are pure evil. Yeah these lists are just for fun and nobody really knows anything yet, but this kind of content is too easy to take too seriously, and that can make it really hard for some players to enjoy the game. Imagine a new player showing up who just wants to chill and kick it and play Warpcoven at the kitchen table with their buddies. Maybe they're just into the aesthetic or they just really like sand or whatever and don't really know what they're doing yet. If they win, "Oh, your team is B R O K E N." But if they lose, then they must really suck at Kill Team! They're gonna feel slightly shitty either way.

Run more Boys and stick to conceal -> charge -> melee? Does sound like reactions may be a bit OP.

I ❤ how the double hello plays so hard to get 😘

Lists are good when the reviwer tells you why things are good. It helps you to play better as a newbie.

No double Hello really hits in the feels lol.

Great stuff, we need more sensible views like this, and it really is amazing the disparity between the tier lists being floated around.

The 3 objectives and adding 2 hp really overcooked all the Elite teams. The question now is how quickly can they fix it?
Deprived of the Double Pleasantry. 😮
It's because he wants you to watch other tier videos. If you watch at least 2, you will make up in net hellos.

Do you think having 1 elite per side would help? Like the blooded ogre almost? Or like if death corp got a single space marine or the equivilent?

Maybe you're playing them wrong. They are very strong. Not a forgiving team though.
@@mariocoelho9380 what's strong about them? Genuinely curious. I shelved them as soon as I saw their full rules

Just putting it out there... The kill op table could really easily be modified to get elite teams less points
The answer is already on the table....5 operatives
My big question is did we really need a new edition allready?
Both my kill teams getting shitted on in d tier
I can’t really complain tho

every time I see these tier lists, I realize I am bad at kill team. I have not come close to winning with mandrakes against any team yet
