Nicky Hayden, 2006 MotoGP World Champion, is heading to World
Superbike this year. We join The Kentucky Kid on the track and take a
look back at some of the bikes that have carried him this far.
RIP The Kentucky Kid! A real gent!!!
Ride in Peace, Kentucky Kid. #RIPNickyHayden
I met Nicky at Barber Motorsport Park before he died sitting in the trees at turn 5 with the fans even though he could have had a air conditioned suit !
A true dude in my eyes RIP Nicky
I often look back at Nicky's video's and will forever be sad about that fateful day. RIP Nicky
I still get a little teary eyed even now when I see anything about Nicky,, whether its interviews (and this is a good one) or just footage of him riding and doing what he does best. Of all the riders out there his death has effected me the most. I am grateful to have lived in a time when he existed and rode. His memory is always with me and he is always with us.
I agree and it's Not really right to make comparisons but Dale Earnhardt's death was sad, Nicky's was a punch to the gut. Affected me more than any other rider or driver, as you said.
Like so many growing up watching and admiring Nicky's passion for racing. Thanks for the memories Kentucky Kid. Miss you Race In Peace.
I've met Nicky many times. always a class act, always thankful.
My dad worked for him and i even got to meet him.
One hell of a racer... But more than that, one hell of a human being. RIP Nicky, your life's light touched so so many people, thank you x.
Nicky has been traveling the world for 13 plus years but he's still a country boy. Love it.
I remember watching those AMA 600 SS and Superbike races after work(night shift) on Speed back in the late '90s early '00s. I became a fan of Nicki in those days and followed him through MotoGP and WSBK. I met.him at Road Atlanta in the AMA time and he was one of the nicest people. The day they announced his death I had a few tears. RIP 69
Such a good dude, super fast rider, always smiling (well maybe Dani and a select few marshalls would tell a different story!!), a big huge maasssiivveee loss!
Thanks, respect and a lot of love to the #69 and family.
He will always be a champion and a legend. Legends live forever!!!!!
Damn,m miss you Nicky. We haven't had any US talent in MotoGP since you left. I comeback and watch clips of you when I'm down.
Thanks to the channel for sharing. Cheers.
surprisingly good interview from cnet
Will always be Remembered and missed! RIP Champ!
Rest in Peace Champion!!
Deeply saddened by his death. He's gone but he will never be forgotten. RIP Nick
A huge loss to biking, probably the most humble champ ever, someone to look up to and aspire to be like🙏
Great guy and great rider. Got to see him a few times in GP plus doing a few laps at The Mile! Congrats on your fist win!
I cant believe he got hit on a freaky bicycle. A Bicycle! He pulled off some unbelievable wins. Pushed the limits. I have an RC51 an truely love it.

Got to add that man do I love the design of Nicky's leathers.
I really hope Nicky can win a WSBK championship, he's had a surprisingly reasonably good start
This video means a lot more the second time around after watching the host's recent explanation of how the day actually went whilst filming.
My heart is broken forever.
I followed his career from Flat track and AMA and MotoGP
He was taken way to early
RIP. Still miss seeing you out there riding your butt of
Race In Peace Nicky 🙏

We'll Miss You!
Rest in Peace Nicky
Prayers out out to you Nicky. Get well buddy.
The prayers didn't work and he didn't get well.
LOVE YOU NICKY 💔
Note to interviewer/narrator a 170 hp 2016 CBR is not twice, or nearly twice as powerful as an early '90's superbike meaning the RC45, jeeze...Here's a clip...With 120 hp at 12,000 rpm on tap, the standard RC45 was hardly a slouch, but an extra 30 hp was available to those who wanted to go serious racing, and could afford it. And make no mistake, some serious coin was required to make the RC45 competitive.
RIP nicky. Miss ya mate
Dayum NIcky will be missed =(
Sweet bikes. RIP Nikki.
My Fav Moto GP Rider
R.I.P Hayden have good life in your new home
RIP Champ....
We'll miss you...
finally high power sport bikes get love on CNET on cars :)
great job by the host, I think this dude is going places but yes a head to head would have been great to see those time differences remember the sbk times with the spec class in moto gp have been almost identical which has always fascinated me, ..on another note Nicky got piped right at the end of race 2 PI Aussi can't let that happen Nicky boy!
When did the host crash? Look at is left shoulder when the camera is right.
R.I.P

RIP Nicky Hayden 😢
R.I.P. Kentucky Kid
Rest in Peace
Rip legend
Poor Nicky. Since that MotoGP title season he's either been injured or saddled with slow unreliable bikes. WSB is a step down for sure. He should just come home and ride in Moto America.
+Bison4Life Racing in Moto America is about 20 steps down
+Bison4Life SBK is the new hotness man get with it.
As far as race to race goes, some are pretty exciting. But, as far as the championship goes, it's pretty boring, all you can see is a sea of green, but I'm excited about next year with the new Honda, Ducati are bound to get stronger too and Yamaha might do something. Suzuki also might be joining since they're bringing out such an advanced GSXR.
RIP Nicky 😞😞😞
We really miss you 69
#prayfornickyhayden

"I miss the twin headlights"... Really? They're on almost every bike...
Rip
aach Nicky😢
悲しい出来事ですが現実を受け止めないといけないんですね
😢
Pains me to see Nicky and knowing he's gone. Terrible lose
The 06 win for hayden was too easy its like they gave him that win like a handicap rigggggg
59
No chance of him getting a WSBK championship with Team Kawasaki putting pressure on his back. Jonathan Rea with Team Kawasaki racing WSBK would beat Hayden any day, I would like Hayden if he raced a American company bike like EBR Motorcycles if Hayden raced with EBR I would like him a lot better.
The voice quality... Are you short of money for some good equipment?
ニッキーの容態が早く良くなりますように・・・
Se te echa de menos, campeòn. ruclips.net/video/5ZcIBcZlers/видео.html
The average motorcycle driver has a 34 times greater chance of dying than a auto driver. So, if this guy gets married, then he should buy the biggest insurance policy possible. If he doesn't actually end up dying, then most likely he will be disabled in some major way for the rest of his life.
+lifesavrdwd the problem with the stat you quote is that it deals with riding on the street. riding on a racetrack--while still dangerous--is inherently safer than street riding. no errant kids or animals to cross your path, no drunk or cell-phone-using idiot car drivers to fear, no trees to hit, etc.
I am sure that this individual will not only be driving on a track. My 40 years of working in an emergency department has shown me the terrible destruction that can happen to the human body. I am not against motorcycles, just the high risk.
+lifesavrdwd his contract may forbid him from riding on the street. Many racers' contracts do. Although Nicky is an avid bicycle rider.
+Lee Call Thanks for your input, I know just where I am going to put it.
+lifesavrdwd That is incredible information! You should contact Nicky Hayden's WSBK team and make sure he's got adequate insurance coverage. He must not be aware of the risks involved with "driving" a motorcycle, otherwise I'm sure he wouldn't be taking part in an activity as dangerous as this.
RIP ...
He has NOT passed away! Get your information from a RELEVANT source.
+Rocket Girl 85 Brain death
first!
Too bad he's riding such an awful bike, if he had a Kawasaki or Ducati he might have a chance.
Hell, Give him an RSV4 and throw Aprilia back into the season, he'll have a title in 3 years i guarantee it!
I've heard rumors of a new, heavily updated CBR and possibly even a V4 superbike, he's been my fav since I was 3, hope he can win
Did Nicky cut his own hair?
R.I.P
rip Nicky
