Another great video. These were my very first mod after break in period. I’ve seen tests where it adds about 3hp. I clean mine every six months. There is always some debris on outside of filter by that time. Like, you say, riding locations and conditions will vary this - but it takes seconds to check and why not keep it clea. I check these things on the change of season (spring/summer/fall) that way the dates is easy to remember and announced on the news. Makes it easy to remember.
Brain says to self...do I really need that 5th bolt???🤔 Exactly my process most days, but then the more boring reasonable actions take over & I'm left coloring inside the lines again😩, lol. AWESOME video & thank you for showing where that sneaky one lives!
If you push the door forward and pull on the plastic gently there at the bottom it will come off the holder and the door is out of your way. Then just put it back on the same way. Great Video!
There’s always one bolt that doesn’t want to play. Nice easy install though. This will give a lot of people the confidence to give it a go. Ryde Safe Little Sis 🙏🏻😎🏴
Great question. I think is rides better, but it is really hard to measure. I am pretty in tune with my bike, but still hard to tell. More air flow has to be better?
Hi Lori!! The winners were announced live during my stream at Trikefest. I also gave 2 out to subs who came up to me during Trikefest. I will add the names of the winners to the post, when I get back. 😘
I have had many Spyders since 2012. Not saying the after market parts are not ok to put on. But, it is not a mistake the parts that the engineers put on these bikes.
I totally agree. The original parts on the bike work just fine. There is not a necessity to replace anything with upgrades. I just like the added benefits of doing so.
Question .....Nothing to do with the Filters .. .. by the way thank you So much for your publications on Rykers I've learn so much from you Thank You .. Dibt Stop .. Here is the Question .. I've seen your Blue Strips on your Ryker , What Kind of Material is that , Easy to find , What's it call ??? Thank you so much
Thank you so much Gerardo! Everything blue on my bike is a wrap. The stripes, unfortunately are starting to peel up at the edges.....looking at changing to a full warp.
Looks like you will be getting me to buy this filter. I ride a Rally edition 😎 and sometimes when im riding my bike makes a loud vacuum noise. Does that sound normal 🤔?
I like making you buy stuff!!! Lol My bike makes a loud noise when it is cooling down,...is that what you mean? Vacuum noise??? Not sure! Check your filters!
Hey Beth! I love watching your videos, and appreciate all the effort you put into them. They are fantastic! I’m signed up for the 3 wheel course in December (long waitlist) and I can’t wait to get my own! If you have a moment to entertain it, I’d like to ask you for a kinda weird favor...but there’s a story behind it. Would you mind measuring the “Ryker” lettering that’s behind the air filter and near where your left knee would be when you’re riding? You see, I’m a proud dad of two young boys. Rowan and...... Ryker. Spelled exactly the same. I had no idea Can Am had such great taste in naming things 😂 I’d really like to have Rowan’s name on the bike next to his brother’s. I found someone on etsy that matched the font perfectly, but I don’t know what size of decal to request. If you’re game, I’d love to know the height and width of the words. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to your next video! Mike
Hi Mike! Happy to help! The length is 4" and the height is slightly less than 1/2". There are decals on both sides of the bike, so order 2! The best guy to order from is Mark Zim. He owns a Ryker and can make sure the sizing, coloring and lettering match exactly. He can be found on Etsy. Tell him I sent you. Enjoy!!
When you drop a bolt in the engine and can’t find it do you let the cuss words fly off camera? Very informative video and good to know K&N filters are the tops in quality. Hmmm, maybe the next giveaway?
Hi cobber, i have been looking at the Treal ram air system, and love the extra hp it gives the bikes, (and the fact they have dyno run al their parts) but i just don't love the look, as you have to permanently remove the can am air intake. have you come across anyone that has modified the air intake so you can gain the extra hp but still look original? oh and btw if you come to Oz come and visit, my wife and i would love to catch up and show you around a bit. cheers Andy
Thanks cobber ( I had to look that up)!!! I love OZ slang!! Australia 🇦🇺 is #1 on my places to visit before I die!! The long flight is my only concern!! I will definitely take you up on your offer WHEN I do go!! That would be awesome!! As far the Treal, I have heard great things. I don’t know of others. I like the look....aggressive.
I just put these on mine. But I'm going to remove the CVT side and put stock back on. I've read several people say the oil in filter can cause damage to the CVT. Slingmods even has a RUclips video of a K&M install on a Ryker. With them replying in the comments that Can Am (or someone affiliated) doesn't recommend using these on that side. Just some food for thought.
The oil (which comes the filter comes pre-oiled) will only be a problem when someone decides to overall it after they clean it. I know people that have had it on their CVT side since day one of owning and have never had a problem. As always, it is best to do what YOU think is best for you Ryker! I have an email in to K&N to ask them what their thoughts are. Thanks for the message.
Like that final scene riding away into the fog. Another great, informative video. Thanks
Thanks Kevin!! I appreciate it!

She didn’t oil the filter! Engine toast!
Hey Beth. Got to be one of you easier installs
Yup, it's nice to have an easy one! lol
Excellent. You made it look so easy-peasy.

@@RykerRydes 🤗😁 I know I can be a bit of 🌰🤪 so I COMPLETELY appreciate that!
Great video Beth. I'm replacing my CVT filter next week.
Thanks FRANK!
Hello Beth I just received my K&N filter from Ron also received an O-ring and a BAJARON sticker.
YAY!!! That's great!
If you push the door forward and pull on the plastic gently there at the bottom it will come off the holder and the door is out of your way. Then just put it back on the same way. Great Video!

Why is there always that one bolt? Seriously can am, why??? Makes for an interesting video....I guess! Lol Take care brother!!!
Another great video I used the K&N filter on my Ryker, I just launched the first 3 wheel podcast would love to have you on
That is so awesome!! I would love to be a guest. Just tell me when and where!!
@@RykerRydes email me rollingon3wheels@gmail.com to set it up
Great video, are the 2 filters the same? Part numbers the same
Thanks so much! Yes they are BOTH the same part number, it is mentioned in the part one video "why I chose K&N?" Part # CM - 9910
Well done Beth , I been asking everyone can I put the KN on the cvt as well and no one could answer, you have so Kiwi RykeR wahoo
Awesome!! So glad to help!!! ❤️ 🇳🇿
How does it ride with the K&N air filters compared to the OEM?
Great question. I think is rides better, but it is really hard to measure. I am pretty in tune with my bike, but still hard to tell. More air flow has to be better?
Beth I never saw a list of winners for the reverse extension lever . Where is that list🤔😘

Both sides use same filter?
Yes they do

the 2 filters are the same number of pieces?
Not 💯 sure what you mean. Both filters are exactly the same. It is just one piece. Hope this helps.

Hey Beth great video. Would you have a link to where I can buy the right K&N filters?
Yes, it’s mentioned in the video as well as in the description section of the video. 😊
Hi, so I have already ordered K&N filters :-)
Good choice! Thanks for watching!
Hi how often do you clean it? Thanks
Every oil change. More if you ride a lot in dust and dirt.
On the cvt side you have to remove the cover completely before you unscrew the 5 bolts ! 😊
Good tip!
Hey Beth, would I need to buy 2 of the same or are their different sizes
Same size. Thanks for watching!

Any update on these? Are you still using both? How is the cvt side holding up with dirt etc?

900 but works on all models

In my truck I had a slight bit more power and the gas mileage went down a couple miles.
That's awesome! I feel a little more power, but no real big change with gas mileage.
Thanks

I think this filter will let too much dust through and damage the engine
Interesting. I can say I’ve had the filters on my bike for a long time and still running great.
Greg asked, "are these filters the same part number?"
So am i
Yes they are BOTH the same part number, it is mentioned in the part one video "why I chose K&N?" Part # CM - 9910
You didn’t oil it? You have to oil the K&N filters! Thats is what stops the dirt from entering your engine!
Brand new filters come pre oiled. You only need to oil them AFTER you clean them.
@@RykerRydes Mine didn’t. Directions said to oil it.
